Can you believe it???  I have another injury!!!  Now, I have Plantar's fascitis in my left foot.  For those of you that don't know what that is, it is inflamation of the arch muscle.  Wow, it hurts.  I did walk today, but, only for 10 minutes, then I did 30 minutes on the bike at the gym.  Then abs.    I still plan on walking in the 5k on Wednesday. Also, my plastic surgeon wants me to do a breast MRI today to really convince her that I am a candidate with no cancer for the surgery I want.  I'm told it is 45 minutes in the tube!!!  Ycchh! Sorry, I'm a bit in a feel sorry for myself mood. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Yow, my sibling gets plantar fascitis every now and then, and from what I've seen, it isn't fun.  I think there are some exercises or stretches you can do to help reduce the inflammation. If they tried to stuff me in an MRI for 45 minutes, they had better give me something to smoke, snort, or shoot; otherwise, they would get 45 minutes of "Letmeoutletmeoutletmeout"  It's OK to feel sorry for youself -- might as well, it's too hot to do much of anything else!  Hope your foot settles down in time for the 5K. I went to the rec center this morning and did 35 minutes of in-line skating machine and a circuit of the weight machines (10 reps @ 10 lbs).  No armbike today.  I'll do armbike on the days I don't do the weight machines. I had that a few years ago -wow, it was painful! I ended up getting a cushion for my shoes and laid low for a while. I feel for ya, it's not fun I did 27 minutes on the elliptical, 20 on the treadmill and 10 on the bike - I've really been stepping up my workouts in terms of intensity. I have my big hike tomorrow with that hiking group and I'm a little nervous I won't be able to keep up, even though I've done harder hikes than the one we are doing and do fine. But just in case, my workouts have been super hard. Let's hope it pays off!

Hi Lori, I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, 15 on the bike and 10 on the elliptical trainer. I am proud of myself for going even though hubby didn't go. Sorry to hear about your foot. Take care,

Ouch!  What a bummer.  I've had that before too. Good for you for continuing with your exercise and modifying your workout!! Monday I walked 30 in the am before work and 45 minutes in the park after work.

Sorry to hear about your plantar's fascitis - one of my co-workers has it and she said it's quite painful.  I hope yours gets under control soon.   I'm late posting for Monday, but thought I'd chime in anyway.  I lifted weights for upper and lower body at lunch, then did an hour of cardio after work (40 minutes on elliptical, 12 minutes on stairmaster, 10 minutes on bike).  I'm a little sore today (Tuesday), but in a good way.   Kellie
