embarassing subject.....

But I need to know. I'm getting to that point where I'm having trouble taking care of myself as far as personal hygiene is concerned.   For those of you that have had this problem, what worked for you?  If you don't want to post, please send me a private message. There is a web site www.amplestuff.com and they have a booklet called "Ample Hygenie for Ample People"  is has some good tips and I think is around 5.50. and don't be embarrassed we are all big girls and boys here and most of us probable have had this problem.  I have.Kim

 

I'd be more than happy to give you any input I have if you write me privately about your problems.  At my highest weight hygeine was definitely an issue - good news is that 30 lbs later everything is already a million times easier.

Bless your heart dear. I have to say, I KNOW how you feel dear and yes it is a headache to not be able to care for yourself like that. I have been down that road and nothing worked for me. I tried several things and it was either a complete mess or it simply did not work. Ok, I am not shy at all about this cos really that is one thing that we all have in common here is the bottem part of us and what happens when we do eat haha......that is a nice way of putting it. What I did and still have to do cos I have not had my surgery yet and I am still a very large person, is I have several OLD towels that I dont use to dry off with and I keep them separate from the regular wash. When that time comes I will put them in the chair where I sit and after the shower if I am still not clean, the towel will clean me. When the towel gets dirty I simply wash the towel and use it again. It is good also if you can get a water pik shower massage and take the nozzle off of it. You will have just a regular long water hose and you can use it to "go there" while in the tub. To me that is the best way to get clean. Then you will have the towels for after the shower if you still are not clean....I hope this helps.......that is one of the main things that I pray about for when I get back to being "ME" is to be able to take care of me again.....God Bless You dear......many roads of luck to you okay?  Hi Bobbie what works for me is a bottle u can get them at medical supply stores. There called irrigation bottles or perineium bottles. u are given them after u have a baby in the hospital but I bought mine at a medical supply. store call around, not all stores have them . u fill it full of water and (soap if u like)  and when ur seated on the toilet u kinda reach back ad spray .It might take a little practice. but it works good and u can take that bottle with u where ever u go.So u can stay over night at someones hous and not have to worry or if ur at a mall.As well the water pic has a hard spray for getting into those hard to reach areas.  hope this helps u I totally understand take care here from Canada Kitty
