MONDAY WEIGH IN!

Good Morning Ladies!   Had a great weekend, it's warming up around here, going to be in the 100's today and maybe 107 by  the 4th!  For some reason the heat doesn't bother me like it did this time last year!  LOL   I spent time this morning before work getting blood drawn for my one year check-up that's coming up, they took 15 vials of blood!  WOW! Beginning weight-374 Surgery weight-359 Last week- 199  This week- 197  Total weight loss - 177lb gone forever!   Hope everyone has a great week and a wonderful safe 4th!

Jan, it sounds like all of the Western U.S. is roasting this week!  The heat does bother me more in that I feel like I can't drink enough water at one time to get hydrated, but it doesn't bother me as much in terms of feeling like I'm suffocating. My 1-yr labs are due in August, and if they plan on drawing 15 vials of blood, they had better let me know ahead of time so I can eat a steak or something.    15 vials!  How are you supposed to get along the rest of the day when you're down a quart or two of blood? Kix,  I was shocked at how many there were but I felt fine, still do. 6 of them were half size ... like that matters! Just glad my Doc stays on top of things!

Thanks, Lynn, it's Vallejo-hot here the next few days.  We've been having "shake and bake" weather, so the Oakland girl in me keeps waiting for an earthquake to show up.  None here, though.  Of course, I thought there were no earthquakes in Seattle, either, and when I lived there, we had one almost as big as Loma Prieta!  Now that the fire has slowed up at Tahoe, are your folks out of danger? Kix, Thanks for asking about my parents, yes they are fine thank goodness. My mom is curious how this 4th of July will be, it is usually one of the biggest holidays up there. She plans on venturing out and seeing if all the tourists returned. They are going ahead with their fireworks, they shoot them off over the lake so it is safe.  Hope you have a fun 4th. Lynn

Starting weight 440 - weight today 405.  I have 5 more lbs to go before my weigh-in with the surgeon on 7-12.  *fingers crossed*  I feel really good though!  I've finally gotten my first few comments from people who don't know I'm dieting - saying I look thinner, especially in my face, etc.  All I can say is keep 'em coming.  San Antonio is getting a little break from the heat, with our second week of rain.  I missed all the flooding last week, but go**** was humid after being in the Nevada desert.  I felt like I was melting as soon as I got off the plane!
