MONDAY WEIGH IN!

Marge asked me to take over this week while she is busy with her daughter's wedding.  She promised to post lots of pictures of the happy event, and I told her she had our permission to outshine the bride!  I'm opening this late Sunday night so the early risers can post first thing Monday morning.  Like Dracula, I turn to dust when exposed to the dawn's early light, so now you can feel free to start without me!   I'll post my own weight tomorrow. What does everyone have planned for the Fourth?  Anything fun, or business as usual? Kix

I finally made it to the century club. I didn't post my weight last week. I was so busy trying to get caught up at work before I left for vacation that I barely had time to do anything. My husband and I came to IL and the kids went to NC to my husbands mother house. It was so hectic trying to prepare for 2 vacation. Plus I only had 1 pound loss to report.  This week was better, I finally reached the century mark and it feels great. I have officially loss 101 lbs. I did not need a seat belt extension this time and the tray went all the way down and wasn't blocked by my stomach. I am home and EVERYBODY was so shocked by my weight loss. I am receiving so many comments on my weight. My sister calls me "tucker" because I wear my shirts tucked in.  Can somebody tell me or instruct me on how to get a century card? It would be greatly appreciated      BEGINNING WEIGHT-362(01/13/07) SURGERY WEIGHT-357(01/19/07-the day released from hospital) LAST WEEK-265 THIS WEEK-261

Tricie, love the new picture!  Congratulations on joining the Century Club!  I don't think OH volunteers are doing century club cards any more, but I did save someone's page who had done a bunch of different cards.  I'll look for it and post it later, or perhaps someone else has a quicker idea. Hey there lady, thanks for opening this! I'm having a mellow 4th - I'm heading down to Colorado Springs to spend time with my dad (who is FINALLY out of ICU and in a care facility - we found out last week that he had a stroke during surgery and is going to have a long recovery) and help mom with some house stuff. I'm mostly going to try to stay cool! Well, I finally hit the 100's this week - for some reason I'm not as excited as I thought I would be. It was kind of a "cool" and then that's it. I bawled my eyes out when I hit the 200's so I'm kind of surprised by my reaction, especially since I haven't been in the 100's since I was in high school! Still happy but just low key about it. surgery weight: 371 last week's weight: 201 This week's weight: 198

PJ, below 200!  Good for you, and I'm jealous.  I was so spoiled by my 20 lbs per month weight loss  in the past that I'm very impatient now that my weight loss is slowing down (as it should, since I'm not as fat as I used to be). Any idea how long your dad will need to stay in the care facility?  On the positive side, at least he's out of ICU now and making progress toward recovery.  Hospitals suck. I'm not looking forward to the next few days.  When the weather dude said something about 103 degrees this morning, I wanted to crawl into the freezer and close the door until Thursday.  We are not supposed to be this hot -- this is Colorado, not Texas! Hugs, Kix

Thanks hon! My losing is slowing down as well - from 20 pounds a month to 10 pounds. But hey, I figure my goal (180) is only 18 pounds away and I want to be there at my 1 year anniversary, so there's a chance! Dad will be in the care facility for a long time - they really think he won't recover and will need to be in a nursing home eventually. But we are still hopeful that he will get better - they said he would never make it after surgery and he is now alive with no heart problems! I'm about to go to class in a minute and I am not looking forward to how hot it is out there! Since I take the train I have to walk across campus and I swear it is 10 degrees hotter then the rest of the city! Stay cool out there!

Hi Kix!!! Losing to me now is like actually pulling teeth!!!!  Go****'s hard and slow.  But, I'm gonna keep plugging along.  35 pounds to get to surgeon's goal and I feel as if it will take me FOREVER.    Last week 235.7 This week 234.8 Total Loss 149.2 I need to just relax because I feel blessed to have made the progress I have but I've never been this close before to a weight that was inconceivable for me.   I'm working on the 4th (catching up on paperwork) because I'm taking a trip to the Outer Banks this Sat through Tues.  I just hope I'm not up all night with the crazy neighbors that usually shoot off fireworks ALL nite!!!  :)
