Well we got back from what was a very long week in Vegas today. The plane ride was ok, my conference presentation was great. Vegas... not for us. Very overpriced, overhyped, and touristy. Very seedy. We are also not really gamblers, and I couldn't drink because of the diet, so mostly we did a lot of walking.
On that note, I was surpised how much walking I could really do. Its amazing how much difference my little bit of weight loss and my walking at home improved me stamina and strength. I still completely wore myself out everyday and woke up sore and barely able to walk each morning, but I was able to do 30 minutes at a time fairly easily, even in 105 with wind that felt like a hair dryer. Three months ago I'd have had to take sooo many more breaks!! So at least something good came out of it.. we just didn't have much fun. The best night was last night when we spent a long time in the hotel arcade playing air hockey and foosball. We could have done that a lot cheaper here!
Cheers!

I can't wait to see how much stamina I get. I was so proud to be walking over two miles each day while we were there. That was just measuring the distance between the hotels, if you add all the walking inside those HUGE hotels, it seems like all I did was walk. I was soo sore the first two days and then the third day my husband woke up sore but I was fine! He's never sore so that was gratifying
I don't know how the scale didn't move more, because I stuck to the diet, even took a suitcase full of shakes with me, but only lost two lbs all week. Oh well, I am proud of myself and my weigh in got moved to the 12th so I am going to go all liquid until then to try to dump these last few lbs.
Thanks for the good wishes! All the best to you.
Jenn
