Thanks for all the encouragment but I know just what I need to do to get my sugar down. I do not know why I have been indulging in sweets like nothing would happen. If I can loose 300 on my own with diet and excersise I can do this too. I think people are right about getting control before surgery . I really am not a big eatter and monitor everything except latly I havent even been doing my label reading . Trust me on that I always read labels except hubby said dont worry about labels before surgery well looks like I will be reading labels again. Going to the store today and stocking up on sugar free tropicana ect.. Also going to join CURVES which is less than 2 miles from the house. I hope thier equipment wont make me feel like I am falling but I wont know till I go. Does anyone else do curves? If so how much is it to join?                                                                            Annie PS Kix I found a bedjacket at Woman Within LOL I did not buy it

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

So they do still make bed jackets!  I'd have bet serious money that there wasn't a bedjacket to be found anywhere in the US.  A friend of mine went to Curves, and while she said it was good for getting started on exercise, she found she outgrew it rather quickly as her fitness level improved.  If you have a rec center in your community (or a YMCA), I recommend going there.  They have fitness instructors and there are folks of all different sizes, shapes, and abilities.  I feel right at home at my rec center, it's not a meat market like a lot of fitness clubs. Reading labels is important.  I almost bought a packet of Korean BBQ mix because I am dying for BBQ, but I glanced at the label and the sugar content would have caused my pancreas to burst. You bet you can do it -- if I can, you sure can.  Go, girl! Kix

Oh I can do it Kix, In fact while loosing the 300 I lived at the gym I called it my second home. In the subdivision where I live they have completed a fittness center so I joined it. Was starting to go when my mom had a bad fall so my schedule got interupted. Then the parking is all wrong at the center the handicapped parking is a major long way from the entrance. yes walking is good but I use a cane from time to time to help with my balance. It became a chore just to go and work out and one excuse lead to another. With Curves it is two miles from home can park right at it go in and do my thing. I hope in th  future I will out grow it and the walk to the fitness enter will be a breeze for me.                                                       Annie I really was addicted to working out it became like a drug.
