Hope Im heading down the home stretch....
Yepper pepper I have sleep apnea
Have to go be fitted for a c-pap machine on the 12th. Went to see the vascular doc on Wednesday and she cleared me for surgery and added a BP med because my top # continues to be high. I am now on 3 different BP meds now, that should prove something to my insurance. She also said I will have to give myself shots of heparin when I get home
Have 2 more months to go on the supervised diet. I have lost a few pounds so I will most likely have to go on the optifast diet
So everything I feared I would have to go though is now in process and you know what it aint so bad!!
Think I'm gonna go take a soak! God bless!

Tina,
After my first sleep study I had to go back a second time.
I fussed and had a mild fit with hubby mainly I hate to leave my fur babies.
The next morning when Lee picked me up I was so elated I slept the whole night.
The reason for going back the second time was to have the setting put on the machine which they determined from the results from the first study I could hardly belive it.
I have finally gotten to a point where I can watch DVD"s in our living room without falling asleep.
We used to have to watch all our movies in the computer room so I would not fall asleep.

Yepper pepper? That's a new one for me, but I really like it. Can I borrow it? Tina you have such a great attitude. We are both on our way. I just finished my 6mo stupervised diet this week. I am glad for the process and the time to learn and think it gave me. Sounds like you are too. Congratulations and welcome to the world of sleep. -J
Yeah Tina, I had the test and I have it too. When I went for the second one they put the CPAP on me. When I woke up at 7 the next morning I was really up. I never felt sleepy the rest of the day. Amazing for me. I am now waiting to get fitted for on this coming week. It made such an amazing difference. I can't imagin what it will be like when I use it every day. Hang in there girl. You can do this thing. Jo

I've had my cpap for about two weeks now and I can't really tell much of a difference in how I feel. I never sleep on my back but that was the only time I had apnea so I don't think I was really having much of a problem, I was dreaming and didn't really have many apnea symptoms besides snoring . That being said, I actually don't mind the cpap because it helps me fall asleep. I've always had intermittent issues falling asleep, but the nightly pattern of putting it on and relaxing seems to work. It makes me take deep relaxing breaths or I panic. I can only sleep for a max of four hours with it though - the first time I wake up I panic and pull it off, so its been between 2 and 4 hours each night so far. It also builds up too much condensation even on the lowest humidity setting, and I wake up with the mask raining on me.
Best of luck getting a good nights sleep and with everything else you are going through!
