Gym Is Open (Monday)
Well, I've had a pretty scary day. We had a corrections officer shot and killed by an inmate at our Orthopedics center which is across the street from my office. Here is the article if you are interested. Very scary guy! http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=1393844 We were locked down until they verified they caught the guy. You just never know anymore!
I did go to the gym this morning. I did 35 min on the track and 10 mins of abs.
What did you do to move your body today?
Lori
Whoa, you aren't kidding, that guy is scary looking! What a day for you! In my next to last job a guy took our receptionists hostage - it was pretty terrifying to be at my desk and look outside to see cops with guns crawling toward the building. No one was hurt, thank goodness, but it was a pretty scary day. Hope you have a much less eventful evening
I did a light workout today - I've been fighting a cold and didn't want to pu**** So, I did 22 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the bike. I did feel better afterwards - i hope I can ward this off!
Last week I decided to join a hiking group, so I'll be able to get in more hikes! Our first one is next Tuesday and it looks like fun
.

I was at the rec center this morning when CNN broke in with the news of the corrections officer's death at the U Medical Center. Did I hear right and the prisoner was a neoNazi? Glad you are safe and sound.
I did 14 minutes of treadmill, 10 minutes of in-line skating machine, and 21 minutes of armbike. My surgery support group leader said I might want to alternate treadmill and in-line skating rather than doing both on the same day so my knees get a chance to rest. However, I love the in-line skating machine so much, I'm not in a hurry to give it up.
Oh, I also did a round of strength training machines (10 reps @ 10 lbs)

Kix,
Yes, this guy was a white supremacist, neo-nazi completely covered in tattoos. He has no future of rehabilitation. The whole thing is very sad. Life is back to normal, but, every one is uneasy. The exam room he killed the officer in is still marked off as a crime scene.
You are doing great with your exercise. I'm very proud of you.
