need to buy 4x cotton night gowns
Any ideas on where to buy some summer type night gowns and robes for the hospital?
My mom wants to make sure I am presentable in the hospital and when I get home.
She gets a bit overboard about appearance sometime but hey she offered to pay.
I love Lanz of Saltzburg but they only go up to 3x.
I am sure 3x in night gowns would work but as for a robe it should be 4x.
Mom also said be sure to buy a bed jacket LOL LOL I said what?
Mother said so you will be presentable to the doctors LOL

www.romans.com have some night gowns to a size 5x and they are summer style and very pretty. Also sometimes Kmart carries 4x and so does walmart.
hope you find something you like and you are comfortable in. I hope I was somewhat helpful
Annie,
When I went into the hospital, they told me to bring NOTHING... I did bring my sandels, but that was it, they had very large hospital gowns. For when you get home, try shopping at Lane bryant catalog , online, I think they call themself woman within now... but they go up to 5 and 6 X.
Congrats on your surgery...

I took a ton of clothes to fit all occasions and ended up just using their gowns till I left in my own every day clothes lol. But if you are set on getting something you might try here

They are having a huge sale.
Here are a bunch of coupon codes for that site also.

I peaked at the Woman Within website. The capri set with the tropical pictures on it is perfect. I bought something similar to wear and home from the hospital. It was great during my recovery. I bought two. So perfect for around the house. Be sure and get a shorter robe. (I have one now that is long jacket length.) They wouldn't let me use my long one because of the IV poll.
Bed jackets are very 1950s glamour. They are like frilly caplets that you wear when you "receive" in the hospital. Your mom is sweet. Good luck on your surgery. Loris

Annie, tell your mom it isn't like the olden days when they kept you in the hospital for a week or so to recouperate! If your surgery is uneventful (and it better be!), you'll be lucky to stay in the hospital two days.
The time flies by so quickly that you probably won't even wear anything other than hospital gowns while you're there. Besides, why slobber on your own stuff when the hospital has gowns you can slobber on? The doctors don't spend enough time with you in the hospital to do double duty as the fashion police.
As for being presentable at home, you can wear your regular clothing. After all, it's WLS surgery, not a sex change operation! (Or is there something you haven't told us yet?
)
Do they still even make bed jackets? I haven't seen those since I was a kid and had a pet dinosaur!
Save your money and spend it on smaller clothes as a post-op! Woohoo!

Kix,
LOL you are so right about the doctors not being the fashon police LOL
When it comes to my mother lets say she lives in a bubble.
Tomorrow I am going to a wls met up near by and going to wear my leggins, big T shirt and lord forbid my hair in a ponytail and be happy as can be.
To give you another impression about my mother .
If she is comming to visit we go into hyper cleaning we call it preparing for the royal visitor.
God love her and I know she means well.
I am also to have my hair trimmed and in order before surgery in other words no hanging down pony tail LOL sorry going to braid my hair the day off surgery.
Annie
Annie,
Keep your stuff for when you get home. A robe is nice but I just wore another gown on backwards or frontwards. The time flies and you will be home before you know it. Good luck to you. Roamans and Woman Within have some beautiful stuff and it is long lasting. Also, Just My Size has some really nice gowns.
