Yikes, PJ!  I'm sorry to hear about your dad.  Tell him I said "Enough is enough!" and it's time to wake up and start recovering uneventfully.  I always said it was easier to be the patient than it is to be the patient's loved one.  I'll think good thoughts for your dad and your family, and once he gets past this bump, I'm confident he will do well.  Holler if you need anything (I mean it). I'll tell him just that - yesterday I got right into his face and yelled "I've decided to travel around the world and not get a job" hoping that might get a rise out of him. Not even a flicker, but my mom and his nurse laughed Mom said he was more alert today, but still isn't able to focus on much. Plus, they put him back on the ventilator, he just couldn't breath. But he is still the same stubborn guy - every time they try to stick a suction tube in his mouth (to clear all the stuff in his lungs) he bites down on the tube so they can't get it down. Then, when they try to get back into his mouth he clenches his teeth. Mom said it was pretty funny, he just would not give in. That's a very good sign! Thanks again hon, appreciate it!

Hi Pam, you and your dad will be in my prayers. Dealing with something like this can be so draining both physically and emotinally. Thinking about you.                                                        Annie

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?
