You know that look when men are looking you up one side and down the other.  They are preverts or something. Why do the do it. I hate it. I mean really hate it. And I have noticed it a lot lately...  Makes me what my fat shell back... does anyone else notice this and does it bother you?  And what do you do about it?

I'm not sure why some men are so obvious about it, but I guess its part of being male.  For every gentleman in the world there seems to be a couple of pervs who see women as objects.  Is this positive interest or negative interest they are showing? I can't say it happens to me much anymore, and I can understand it being disconcerting to you.  A lot of people do use their fat as a shell, like you said, to protect them from whatever - socializing, men, etc. I'd imagine its got to be hard to go from where I am at (essentially ignored by any male but my husband) to having male interest.  I'm not sure how I will respond actually. Hopefully I'll  just take it as proof that I'm hot stuff now and they can't have me so hahahaha.  Do you think it felt worse before, when it wasn't happening as often?  or now? Just remember its not all men, and it don't ever ever ever let it impact how you feel about yourself.  A couple of jerks shouldn't have any power over you.

i wouldnt say it is positive or negative interest. I just have noticed a lot of men doing it. My friend that had wls was doing it the other day. He is male. And I noticed my brother in law doing it.  I just know it is really  upsetting to me. I hate when men do that. And when they are so obvious about it. Like hey I am looking directly at you and you are looking at my body and not me. I mean gee weez I was talking to both of them and they both look up at me so they knew I seen they were looking. Like really guys!!!..  It really makes my skin just crawll. I hate it. No I am not going to gain back because of it. But I could sock a guy in the eye. ha think that will work....

That is very rude!  I hate when you are talking to someone and they are looking at your boobs.  Hello?  I'm up here.  I guess I misunderstood what you meant a little.  At the same time though, your body is changing and people are going to be looking at those changes.   I don't think that's an unusual response.  A punch in the eye might do it - then everyone would be afraid to look at ya

Hi Rie: I had to laugh at your post (with you not at you).  I am 52 and even at my highest weight of 456 lbs. men always stared at me.  I knew the wow stares from the look at the fat women stares.  I would just stare back.  They either came up to me and talked or they slinked off.  I sort of equated it to a dog that has to smell all the other dog's butts.  Men are the same way. Take it as if they can't resist looking at the gorgeous hunk of feminity that you are. Jeanne

Me, personally, I love it!  I loved it when I was bigger and I love it now.  Probably an issue with me, but I thrive on attention for men, and could care less what women think of me and the way I look, but if a man gives me a compliment, old, young, black, white, rich, poor, don't care.  I just love it!  I don't think it matters your size, there are always going to be men interested.  If it bothers you, I would let them know.
