We went live with an upgrade today so my staff and I have been working since 6 am.  All seems calmed down now.  I think I'll go to the gym this afternoon and work off this stress! What have you done to move your body this weekend? Lori

I hope the back is better! Today (Saturday) I did Leslie Sansone's new "4 Fast Miles" DVD.  It is really good and I recommend it highly.  Anyway, I followed it up with a 30 minute weight training DVD ("Body Mix" - hosted by a very bald, very muscular fellow named "Silk Manning..."  How can you take a guy seriously who calls himself "Silk"????).

I am sure this is inappropriate, but Silk Manning sounds like the name of a ***** actor to me.  Or maybe that would be Silk Manhood.

I did 20 minutes on the recumbent bike and about 40 minutes of active gardening.  We were really lazy for the rest of the day though...

Saturday I went on one of my favorite hikes - a 5 mile hike that definitely gets my heartrate up and makes my legs work. It was a gorgeous day too! Today I'm doing my 50 minutes of aerobics then 20 minutes of weight training. And that's about it for this weekend - I have to spend all day today writing a paper for my class tomorrow (ALREADY! We JUST started class last week and I already have homework - geesh). Oh yeah, I love being a student

We went to the rec center yesterday and then spent the day driving the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway.  I'll echo PJ's comment -- it was a glorious day yesterday here in Colorado!  For those not from Colorado, the state has several of what they call "Scenic Byways" that are basically scenic drives through different parts of Colorado.  With all the rain and other assorted moisture we've had the past few months, the landscape is green and filled with wildflowers. We enjoyed our adventure very much, stopping at a couple of open space areas along the way.  One spot in particular was so lovely we plan to go back and take a picnic lunch (or in my case, a picnic cheese stick!  ). At another stop along the loop, we visited Buffalo Bill's grave, which was crawling with tourists.  I was able to make the walk uphill to the grave without too much trouble.  Walking down was a little scary because I don't trust myself on downhill slopes yet.  Luckily, there were railings on the side of the path to hold on, which helped me feel more secure walking downhill.  I think my hanging skin pulls me forward, so I feel like I'm going to tumble.  My legs didn't feel too sore today, which is a nice thing! We went to the rec center again today.  I did 30 minutes today as opposed to only 20 minutes yesterday.  My back was kind of sore Saturday morning, so I gave it a slight rest.  Feels fine today. I think one of the open spaces we stopped at had PJ's name all over it, it looked like a steep hiking trail!  I wasn't about to try it because the path looked like it wasn't level and also the dirt looked like it might shift suddenly.
