Getting Sick!
Last week we got southerly winds which brought us smoke and haze from the southern wildfires. The next day Boyce started hacking and coughing and hasn't stopped yet. I am poking Mucinex, tylenol, vitamin C and fluids down him in between his naps. Don't tell him, but I got up yesterday with a sore throat, so I started taking vitamin C and tylenol. Here is the bad part-We are supposed to leave early(4a.m.) Friday morning on our way to St. Simon's Island, GA for his youngest daughter's wedding on Saturday! Imagine, the father of the bride is sick! He said yesterday that if I got sick we would stay home and she would just have to understand. I am NOT going to let him miss her wedding! So I am keeping as quiet as possible about my symptoms. No matter how bad I feel, we are going to this wedding. Besides it will be the closest thing to a vacation we have had since 2001 and I want to see the ocean! I should probably stick my head it in as it would clear out my sinus's really well, but I have no swimsuit(not that I should be seen in one by anyone!). I sold all my pre-op ones last year on ebay and since I don't get to swim that often, I didn't get another one. I am taking a pair of short and plan on walking a bit on the beach and wading some. I could do that for hours. Although if we find out we won Mega Millions I would be doing much more beach walking(I wish!). Better run, my coffee cup is empty and I don't remember drinking it all, but I know I did.
Hugs,
Janie
It is from the smoke being blown up from the South Georgia and Florida wildfires. You can look out out windows and it is as if someone was burning leaves next door it has been so hazy. Our area is down about 18 inches in rain, so with dry conditions and the haze, I am keeping him inside and wearing a mask as much as possible. Keeping all the windows closed and the ceiling fans going too. It is supposed to be 90 degrees today with no chance of rain. Our front yard is so dry the grass crackles when you walk on it. I can tell by looking out the windows at the fig tree that it is drying up as well.

HEY JANIE, BOY DO I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WHEN YOU SAY SMOKE!! WE ARE IN THE BRUNT OF IT FOR SURE HERE. THEY HAVE HAD PEOPLE GOING TO THE HOSPITAL FOR SMOKE IN THE LUNGS HERE. AND THEY ARE TELLING YOU IF YOU DONT HAVE TO BE OUT IN THE YARDS WELL DONT GO OUT. SAID MEMORIAL DAY TO GRILL AT YOUR OWN RISK. AND EVEN RIGHT NOW YOU CANT SEE THE HAND IN FRONT OF YOU MOST OF THE TIME. SO I UNDERSTAND FULLY HOW YOU FEEL. WE HAVE HAD NO RAIN IN WEEKS AND WEEKS . SO YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND BOYCE AND ENJOY THAT BEACH...AND WANT TO SEE PICS FROM THE WEDDING NOW,..... HUGS MARGE
Karma....What would life be without it? 250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!
One of the first things I packed was the camera along with the extra card thingy. I am praying that since we well be near the water that whatever wind there is will be coming from the ocean. I am keeping him indoors and right now he is snoring again so I am going to be very quiet and let him rest.
Hugs,
Janie
