Hi, Iron-Kellie! Your workout routine is amazing!  If I could do cardio five times a day at 40 minutes each time, I'd be the Queen of Colorado.  I honor you!  You just might creep into Onederland next week, make sure you have your passport ready and your shoes off!  Kix

Thanks, Kix.  I'm constantly amazed at my body's ability to reshape and "heal" itself through exercise.  We are such amazing machines and it fascinates me.  When I started exercising, I could barely do 15 minutes on the lowest setting on the elliptical machine, with absolutely no resistance at all.  Now I can do 50 minutes on a relatively high incline and have to set the resistance to 8-9 just to get my heartrate in the right zone.  It's a great feeling!   I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for continued healing where Blobby was removed.  I know you want to get back on that treadmill!   Kellie

Lynn, your scale is cruel!  You know you probably weigh 199, your scale is just jamming you up. Besides, fitting into those size 18 pants is just as good as onederland! Later, Kix

Well, I had a pretty damn good morning!  I was the first appointment at the PS today (although he keeps getting double-booked because Kaiser has a lot of breast cancer surgeries lately ).  Anyway, Dr. Grumpy comes in and examines my incision, and is surprised that it hasn't split open like a bloated hot dog!  I know it killed him to say what he said, being Dr. Gloomy and all, but he actually said it looked much improved.  (I'll bet he had heartburn the rest of the day).  The drain came out (and Holy Moly, that sucker hurt coming out.  It was adjacent to the crease behind my right knee, and we all know how tender knee skin is!).  I still have to use Neosporin daily on the incision and keep it covered. but I'm upgraded to "limited activity."  No treadmill, but armbike is OK.  I see him again in four weeks. I'm also happy to announce that I got my first "flip off" since I started driving in Colorado.  I was on my way to get the car smog tested, and some nimrod thug wannabe decided I was in his way, so he sped up to get around me and nearly slammed into a bus.    I was laughing at his stupidity, and he started flipping me off and acting like he was going to get all tough.  I thought, "Look, I'm from Oakland, home of the Raider Nation.  You don't scare me at all." Not only that, I had a good weight loss this week!   Beginning weight: 530 lb Surgery weight: 407 lb Last week: 265 lb This week: 258 lbs Kix

My mother (now deceased) also carried a "nana" purse.  That sucker was the size of a billboard and must have weighed 50 lbs.  She never needed to do weight training, she just hauled that damn purse everywhere!  Her coin purse alone weighed close to 20 lbs and was the size of a human heart.  She never, ever spent coins, just kept putting them in her coin purse.  (I guess I can confess this now that 40 years have gone by, but I used to filch quarters from that enormous coin purse.  She never noticed!)  When she died, she had a huge suitcase full of coins that she put into ziploc bags.  I don't remember exactly how much it was when we got it all counted and to the bank, but it might have been close to $3,000. Glad you're back, we missed you! Kix
