Gym Is Open (Wednesday)
I just finished my workout today - did 33 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the cycle then 20 minutes of weight training. I, once again, felt like I was dragging. I just feel tired. But, I did it! I figure since I'm not working I can't use the "not enough time" excuse that i love so much!
This afternoon I'm getting a much needed massage - my shoulder is just killing me. I tell ya, I should of been laid off years ago!

PJ,
From time to time I get that completely exhausted feeling when working out. I don't know what causes it. Watch that shoulder. I have "tennis elbow" that I've been getting physical therapy for and I also have a tendon problem in my shoulder. These things take forever to heal! Some of the weight training stuff I had to back off on. My PT says, if it hurts, don't do it. I know, I know, easier said than done!
Lori
It's nice to know someone else experiences it too! I feel everything in every part of my body and I'm thinking I might have to just off a little - just not pu**** so hard.
At my massage today she said my shoulder was pretty bad and it would take a few weeks for it to feel any better (my shoulder has been a problem for over 20 years, so that doesn't surprise me). It's better now than before surgery but I know I need to start to let it heal. She told me to continue light weights to strengthen it and gave me some stretches to help it along. Let's hope I'm on the right track with this, because I have only 4 more sessions with her!
Well, since I'm still on restricted actiivty, all I've done so far today is water the flowers and take out a bag of trash.
My backside is getting a callus from all the sitting I do all day long. I'll need a buttectomy once my leg is all healed up.
I miss exercising! I don't see the PS again until next week, so I don't know how long I'll be on restricted activity. AARGH! The weather is so nice outside, too!

PS;
AARGH, again! The phone rang this morning just as I was finishing up my dressing change. I checked the phone to see who called; it was Kaiser. Kaiser has bogus numbers for caller ID, so I had no idea which department was calling me, and whoever called didn't leave a message. I decided not to worry about it.
Well, they paged my sibling and scared the bejeezus out of her by telling her to call immediately regarding an urgent matter. Turns out it was the PS department secretary calling -- the PS wants to move up my follow-up appt to the 14th, which is a good thing. Scaring my sibling half to death is not a good thing. It took me ten minutes to convince her I'm upright, taking nourishment, and having a perfectly normal day here at home.
If I ever have additional PS from Kaiser, it might be worth the long drive to Boulder and go through the PS department at Rock Creek/Good Sam. The support staff cannot possibly be any more idiotic than what I keep encountering at Franklin.
I feel better now, sorry for the rant. I don't tolerate incomepetence very well! Can you tell?

Hi Lori!
I was gone last week, and will be gone next week, but this week, I'm back at the pool! John and I went to the Y Monday, Tuesday and today for 1 hour of water aerobics class. We had a great workout this morning, both with cardio and abs. I'm also delighted to say that since I've been home and back at the pool, I've dropped 3lbs! Last week, I only went down .8 lb, so I'm glad that things are moving again!
Well, let me put it to you this way, Lori. Here's what I am "supposed" to be doing this evening: 60 minute cardio/weight circuit training class ("Get Ripped 1000") and an additional 10 minute ab work segment from my "10 minute solutions: blast off belly fat" DVD.
I'm feeling really tired, though, so I'll have to let you know whether or not I actually did it. All I really want to do right now is..
Update: 5/10/07 - I did the 60 minute circuit class. I was having a major "low energy" day yesterday, so getting through the workout was twice as difficult as normal. "Ripped 1000" is a tough workout anyway, in fact it's the hardest one that I do, but I normally get through it just fine. Yesterday, it literally wiped me out completely. I mean "completely". I was not able to do the extra 10 minutes of ab work.

Jesus is so good to me; I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!
