Gym is Open (Monday)
Had major power problems and it blew out my cable, telephone, internet access, coffee maker, 2 surge suppresors, my house alarm system and my dryer! What a hassle! I exercised this morning extra hard to get out the stress of it all!
25 minutes on the track and 30 min upper body strength training and abs.
What did you do to move your body today?
Lori
Hi Lori,
Sorry to hear about all of your probems that really sucks. Well its my day off but better than to spend the day with the dentist. I hit the gy early this morning to get it out of the was. The scale is moving again. I guess you have bee right about walking and weight training becasue it is working. I lost 2 pounds this week and as slow as I am losing I will take it. I hope I can keep it off. Ok so today I did 35 elliptical and 55 treadmil.

I could prolly do without the internet, cable, phone, alarm and dryer but NO COFFEE?!?!?!?!?!?
Hope everything is back up and working now.
Anyway, I am off the pity pot and firmly back in the exercise saddle. I have had good workouts for the past three days:
Saturday - 35 minute cardio dance ("Dance off the Inches: Fat Burning Dance Blast") followed by 60 minutes of full-body weights (Get Ripped to the Core).
Sunday - 65 minute cardio kickboxing (I mixed two DVD's: "Kathy Smith AeroBoxing" and Caribbean workout Kickboxing) followed by 20 minutes of ab work (Denise Austin "Get Fit Fast: Abs")
Monday - 60 cardio/weight circuit class (Get Ripped 1000) and an extra 10 minute ab workout because the ab section on Ripped 1000 is a little weak, IMO (10 Minute solutions: Blast Off Belly Fat: Ab Ripper).

Jesus is so good to me; I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!
Hey Lori! Those power problems sound like a pain in the butt! When I was growing up we lived in a home that was on top of a hill and every summer we would get hit by lightening - the same thing would happen to us. It drove my mom crazy. We went through more answering machines (remember those days?) and tv's!
I am done with my freelance work and have 3 weeks of freedom before school begins, so I really want to push my workouts these next few weeks. I did 40 minutes on the elliptical at level 4 and I was sweating like crazy! Boy, did it push my legs to the max! then I did 15 minutes on the cycle and 20 minutes of weight training. The weight training really is making a difference.
I did find out that the school has a fitness center I can use for free, so I plan on taking advantage of that during my break between classes. Plus they have trainers that students can use for free, so I think i will take advantage of that as well. I'd love to have someone look at my workouts and tell me how to improve them.
Good luck with all the power mess!
