Well the scale is moving slow but still moving. I am 5 day and 5 lbs from my goal of 280 by May 4th(my b-day). This weekend I also went to the thrift store. I got 2 blue jean skirts and 2 cardigan sweaters for work. It is so cold in the building.  My baby boy(21 y/o) arrived on Friday. He is here for my birthday. I was happy to see him. He was shocked to see me. He knew I had WLS but I don't think he thought I would have loss so much weight this soon. He kept saying mom you are so beautiful. He is such a great son.  BTW I am 23 lbs from 100 lbs....WOW that is amazing.     BEGINNING WEIGHT-362(01/13/07) SURGERY WEIGHT-357(01/19/07-the day released from hospital) LAST WEEK-287 THIS WEEK-285 Also, I hope more people start posting on the Monday weigh in. It keeps me inspired to read about other.

Wow Marge, 90's already? I've never lived down south, but is that normal for April? It makes me appreciate our summers here in Colorado! No movement this week - I think my body is rebelling a bit. Not sure why, but I know I've lost lots of inches, so I'm happy with that. I actually fit into some old jeans I kept from my last big weight loss, over 10 years ago! As a matter of fact, I've kept a lot of those clothes and had fun this weekend trying them on. And, of course, I went shopping. I'm becoming a bit of a shopaholic, and having a Lane Bryant Outlet store close to my house is not helping! Well, here it is: Surgery weight: 371 last week's weight: 225 this week's weight: 225 I still can't believe I've lost 146 pounds - it seems a bit surreal. But boy, do I feel good! That's a good reminder right there!

We haven't had the hot stuff yet-Thank goodness.  I know how ya'll down south suffer with the heat.  That is why we live in NW Georgia. Only down two pounds, but at least I am DOWN instead of the other way.  If I can get 20 pounds off this month before the wedding I will be pleased.  Then I can start on working my way to onederland.  I would love to see it before September, really before October which will be my two year surgiversary.   Must get busy.   We got a box of bottles at auction for $5 and sold one on Saturday for $19.99!  Who would have thought that?  I have to get the postage attached and run it to the post office.  Then Boyce wants me to list a bunch more we got today.  Then start on the other box we got at another auction for $5.  I checked the listings this morning and we have bids on two of the last batch of Playboys he got-another $5 auction buy.  I will be soooooo glad when they are out of the house.  He is not allowed the bidder's card anymore when I go to the ladies room.  That is how we ended up with 123 50's, 60's and 70's Playboys.  I told him NEVER to do that anymore or else!  Although we have made over $500 on them, the aggravation wasn't worth it.  I could write a book on the crazy questions people asked about them.  One person wanted to know if the staples had rust on them  and if they did, was there any rust on the centerfold picture?  Now to be perfectly honest I really did not want to get the loupe and closely examine the centerfold of a 50 year old playboy.  Considering that the person in the picture is now in her 70's!  I made Boyce do it.  After that he was a bit more understanding of my aggravation with the darn things.  It is much easier to answer questions about my crochet patterns.  At least you do not have to contend with T&A! Here's this weeks numbers: Pre-op:  413 Surgery Day :379.5 Last Week:  243 This Week:  241 -2 "Only" 41 more to Onerland Hugs, Janie

Ew, Janie, I don't blame you!  I'd feel the same way having to answer gross questions about the Playboy centerfolds (not to mention I don't want to think where those magazines have been).  I'm glad you are making good money on Ebay.  I have no talent for stuff like that -- years ago, I bought a bunch of beanie babies from Japan (ones you couldn't get here) hoping to sell them on Ebay and about two days after the shipment arrived, the beanie baby craze died.  Story of my life!  Kix

Hey, Marge, thanks for starting off the Monday weigh in.  Here's my numbers for the week -  Beginning weight:  396 Surgery weight:  386 Last week:  212.8 Today:  215.0 My numbers are going in the wrong direction - ugh.  I know what's wrong - I've been eating too many calories and far more carbs than I should.  I need to cut back on the calories, cut back on the carbs, up the protein a bit, drink more water, and add more exercise to my routine.  I know what I need to do, it's just a matter of making it happen.... Hi, everyone! The weather was beautiful in Colorado this past weekend.  While PJ was out hiking this weekend (along with a majority of other Colorodoans, from what I could tell at the trail parking lot near my house), I took it easy and rested my leg.  It's still draining, so it looks like my surgeon was right when he told me back at my pre-op consult that it might drain for a while.  Sink baths are getting boring, but on the other hand, I don't want the drain out too soon. Friends I met last year during surgery class came over on Saturday to visit.  Every time we see each other (once or twice a month for me right now), I can't believe how skinny we are all getting!  They brought me more clothes (yikes!), which meant I had to go through my closet again.  I was sad to find out that some of the beautiful summer clothes they gave me in the previous bunch were now too big!  (Well, I was sad they were too big before I got to wear them).  I gave them to Goodwill. Spent most of Sunday doing errands with my sibling.  Costco had a boatload of plants on sale, so we bought six big pots of assorted flowers.  I still need to use the electric cart when I go to big stores like Costco or Wally's, and the electric cart at this particular Costco was so slow I could have walked faster, which means that was one DAMN SLOW CART!    I felt like I was on a baby ride at the amusement park. Beginning weight: 530 Surgery weight: 407 Last week: 276 This week: 269 (2 lbs of that was Blobby) Kix
