I just had to come here today and toot the horn. I am officially half the woman I was.  My scale keeps tipping from 180-181 so i have now lost what I weigh.  WOW I can't believe I am able to say that.  I always thought of losing 200 pounds was out of my reach but now it seems possible. :) I will be 18 months out this Thursday and have my 1st plastics consult on that afternoon. What a difference from 18 months ago. Life gets hectic and I don't make it on here as much as I did in the begining but just wanted everyone here to know that it is possible. Sorry for the own horn tooting, Jennifer 361 / 180 / ?

Who better to toot your horn than you. Plus you have a reason to. You have done great. You are an inspiration to me. I started at 362 and I am 13 weeks post-op. My doctors goal for me is 160. I couldn't believe it when he said it. You have made a believer out of me.

Jennifer, This is so amazing!  Please don't feel bad at all about tooting your horn.  I started at 384 and I'm still struggling in the 240s now.  I'm nearly 2 years out.  I don't seem to be able to lose more.  I am finding it much tougher than I thought it would be. You are an inspiration!!!! Lori

Thank you to everyone for their kind words.  I couldn't be here to thank you yesterday because I was at a plastics consult YEAH!!!!! AprilGirl for you-- just do what you are suppose to.  I know I am not a pro at it but 2 things i did that really helped me was measuring before surgery.  You will be amazed at those inches coming off when the pounds aren't.  Also I never pushed the food thing.  I have vomited maybe 12 times over the last 18 months and really most of the times I don't know why.  I have dumped and I have had things I shouldn't have but I think keeping to the small portions as long as possible really helped me. I still only eat about 4-5 oz per meal -  I think as long as you get in your protein and water it doesn't matter is you keep eatting small amounts.I could be wrong but it worked for me. And ofcourse keep coming here this place ROCKS!! The support is awesome even if you just lurk. Good luck , Jennifer 361 / 180 / ?
