am sorry I posted this yesterday and  somehow the orginal post got deleted. I am so embarressed to have to ask in the first place and now again.  I am sorry if this is too much information, but I dont know who else to ask.  But anyhow,  I have been getting really dry, You know down there.  I was wondering if anyone else has theis problem and if it could be related to the bypass. As in  could it be because I am getting dehydrated.?   I am showing no other signs of dehydration.  I drink tons of fluids. I dont even worry about counting it no more. I drink usually a half gallon of crystal light, two or three jugs of green tea and about a gallon of regular tea.

Hi RieRie,  I have heard some other women talk  about this problem on a different site. I am not sure what is the cause but you might want to try some over the counter products or even speak with your doctor.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.  Lorraine

Hi, Marie: It could be that your hormones might be a bit out of whack due to the weight loss.  Or, if you're like me and old enough to be tiptoeing toward menopause, this can also be a factor in causing vaginal dryness.  I noticed now that I'm (ahem) older, I have similar issues.  Since I've lost weight, my periods have been all wonky, too, but my doc attribues that to the estrogen stored in fat that are now being released and my being perimenopausal.  (Ugh). I don't think it's anything to worry about.  You could get something over the counter at the store (in the same aisle with all the other feminine hygiene products), or if you are really worried about it, check with your doctor. With all that tea you drink, no wonder you know where every clean bathroom in town is located!  Good for you!  My max is about 70 ounces a day. Kix

Yeah I know, my husband is always on me about drinking so much and having to go so much too. I guess I substitute some of my food addiction with drinking tea.  Could be worse habits. I had a hysterectomy about ten yrs ago but they left one ovarey for the hormones. Do you think it is starten to stop.  I though I had about  five to seven more yrs before menopause. I am 43. I guess I should make an appointment with a ob/gyn to have him check my hormones. yuck I hate them docs.
