Good morning everyone,  The events of yesterday have devistated the whole world as we exercise today please say a prayer for  those families that have lost a love one. Well its another glorious day of moving to lose. I hit the gym at 5 am and worked out for and 1 hour and 20 min completed 5 miles. This workout seems to be working I am losing again and happy about it.  What have you done to move your body today? Lorraine

I AM GOING WALKING TONIGHT!  Pardon the caps but I have been trying to get to the park to check out the new walking path for over a week and my partner has had an excuse not to go EVERY NIGHT!  I am going tonight with or without her!

Hi, Lorraine! We didn't get to the rec center until almost 6 PM tonight, so I was watching NBC News' expanded coverage while I exercised.  The whole thing is so sad. and to hear the story of the professor who sacrificed himself so his students could escape out the windows really made me emotional.  I always wondered if I would have the courage to face something like that head on.  I prayed for the families of all the lost souls, including the deeply troubled young man who did the shooting. I am rebuilding my workout after taking it easy during my few days of GI distress, so I was only able to do 9 minutes on the treadmill before my legs grew tired.  I did 30 minutes of vigorous armbike to make up for the shorter treadmill workout. My sibling will be at a play tomorrow night, so I will drive myself to the rec center.  EEK!  I am terrified of driving the car because it has manual transmission.  I haven't driven one of those in over 20 years.    At least I can go early and not have to wait for her to get home from work. I didn't make it to the gym, but I did go for a 35 minute walk when I got home after having dinner with friends.  I wore my new heart rate monitor to see how my heart rate did during the walk - I only got my heart rate up to around 95 even though I was walking as fast as my gimp right knee could handle.  I can get my heart rate up to 135-140 on the elliptical trainer and keep it there for 30-35 minutes; that's definitely a better cardio workout for me than walking.  But I enjoy walking outdoors, so will do that in addition to (not instead of) my regular gym routine.   Thanks for opening the gym, Lorraine! I wanted to add in a walk outdoors too but it is still so cold to me. It seems after I had this surgery and lost weight I got cold i just can't stand it. I for one can't wait for summer to get here.
