Was planning on going to water aerobics this morning, but woke up and couldn't breathe out of my nose.  I feel better this afternoon, so hopefully it is just allergies and not illness.  Will go for a nice long 4 mile walk after a friend of mine comes out to fix my garbage disposal...where is he??? What did you do to move your body this weekend? Lori

Hopped on my treadmill and did a mile in about 33 minutes.  I'm gradually increasing my speed and will eventually start adding some incline, but for now just moving is good enough.

Kelley, Take it slow.  You've got the rest of your life to ramp up the exercise!  Following the meal plan and taking short walks is great for now! Lori

Hi Lori, John and I went to our water aerobics class this morning.  We had a great workout!  I'm glad that the gal who normally teaches at night and Sat. mornings was back from her trip to Hawaii.  I'm sorry that you missed your class, and I hope that your nasal symptoms will get better.  My allergies are bad, so that might just be your issue as well. Oh, we also planted a bunch of flowers in our garden, so I guess that we did gardening as well. My sister in law is a fashion designer and she was in town this weekend.  She flew down to audition for Project Runway.  They basically told her that she was too versital and didn't think she would be right for the show.  She spent about 1 1/2 hours pinning a dress, 2 pair of slacks and 1 blouse for alterations.  She took home those too big clothes to fix for me and will mail them back in a week or so!  What a HUGE blessing!  She will also make a pattern from the blouse and make me a few more.  Then I can just update with my measurements for some new ones when I need them.  I'm thrilled! Have a great rest of the weekend!

Blargh!  I still don't feel all that great.  I feel like I have dysentery, but I'm probably exaggerating.  I'm making sure to keep drinking liquids, though, so no danger of getting dehydrated. I didn't go to the rec center yesterday, but we went today.  I did 20 minutes of light armbike, and spent the last ten minutes in the bathroom. Kix

Hope you are feeling better now!  I managed to walk 3 miles with my  little neighbor girl and dog.  It is so cool that after 3 miles they are both dragging very bad and I can still go 2 more!  she is 10, I have no idea how old the dog is.... Lori

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Saturday - got lazy and planted my rump on the couch all day.... with snacks.  Sunday - 30 minute step aerobics class (Esquire Step Aerobics VHS) followed by 60 minutes of full-body weight training (Get Ripped To The Core DVD).  For some reason, the weight training kicked my tail way more than usual.

On Saturday, I did 55 minutes on the elliptical trainer at a new gym (went with a friend of mine).  I usually do 40 minutes, but was in a nice groove so just kept going.  I was a sweaty mess by the time I was done, but it felt great.   On Sunday, however, I didn't make it to the gym - had to finish taxes, pay bills, balance checkbook, do laundry, etc.  I did go up and down the stairs a lot, but not enough to keep the old ticker going fast.   Kellie
