Good morning everyone,  I'm not sure what happen to Lori so I am going to start the post off today. I went to the gym a 5 am and was able to go all of my exercise. 1 hour and 20 min ellipical and treadmill. As I look back on the last 11 months it is amazing how much I can do now and I feel so much better. I hope everyone has a great workout.  What did you do to move your body today?

Hi Lorraine! I did 1 hour of water aerobics.  Our regular instructor for themorning was out today, so the lifeguard taught the class.  I think it was one of the best morning classes yet!  Most of the morning attendees were complaining because it was pretty demanding, but for once, I felt that I worked HARD in the morning.  Usually I have to wait until the night class to get a really good workout!

Sounds like they need a good instructor......

In all fairness, the morning classes are filled with senior citizens who are there to get some movement and want to increase flexibility.   They just aren't ready for a more intense workout, which is what the evening insturctors are trying to achieve. I did find that most of the morning complainers were not the oldest in the bunch, but instead they were the middle age women who just didn't want to work hard. Amanda (the lifeguard) kept telling people to work their hardest, but if they needed a break, to take a break and just lightly jog in the water. I'm looking forward to Monday when I can talk to Tracey about starting training!

Hi Lorraine, I'm here, just been in meetings all morning.  Feel free to open the gym anytime as I don't have a schedule that I can count on as when I'll be on the computer.  As a manager, seems I spend most of my time in meetings.

I went to the gym this morning and just did 55 mins of high powered treadmill.  I had a physical therapy appt immediately after and he had me do 10 mins on the armbike and various other very light weight exercises for my elbow for another 30 mins. Lorraine, I really think you are going so great!  Enjoy! Lori

Don't knock meetings.  I have a sign in my office that says: Are you lonely???? Don't like working on your own??? Hate making decisions??? Then call a MEETING!!!! You can SEE people DRAW flowcharts FEEL important IMPRESS your colleagues MAKE meaningless recommendations ALL ON COMPANY TIME!!!! Meetings... the practical alternative to work Isn't that too cute???  And soooo true - at least for us bureaucrats.

The two years I was assigned to Washington State, we spent 1 year, 11 months, and 3 weeks in meetings.  There was one week where we did real work, but I'm pretty sure it was because the director was out of town!  We went to the rec center yesterday, and I did treadmill and armbike. Kix
