Sorry guys, never logged in yesterday.  I was away from the office at a Memorial for my boss who died.  It was a sad day.  My aunt died yesterday as well.  Needless to say, I did not make it to the gym.  I did go this morning though.  35 mins walked the track and 20 mins lower body strength training and 10 mins on the armbike. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Lori, I should have opened the gym when I noticed you hadn't done so yet.  I hadn't been to the gym yet, and figured I'd post about it later, and managed not to.  Yesterday was a strange day. I'm sorry to hear about your aunt passing, particularly when you were dealing with the loss of your boss. We went to the rec center yesterday, and all the treadmills were taken by the cancer survivors, all of whom did lengthy workouts.  My sister managed to snag a treadmill, but I didn't.  I went ahead and did 20 minutes of armbike, but I was having problems with my Helios oxygen tank.  I filled it incorrectly yesterday and it froze up, so it wasn't dispensing the oxygen on demand.  I wasn't suffering or anything, but it was distracting and I couldn't focus on my workout.  The whole adventure was highly unsatisfying. While driving from the rec center to Costco, we were grousing about how crowded the rec center was, then we felt guilty for grousing about the cancer group's hogging all the machines.  God punished us at Costco by having all sorts of indecisive people wandering in front of us in every aisle, where they would stop and meditate over each purchase. As for today, we will go to the rec center when my sibling gets home from work.  I'll need it, too, I was so hungry after my medical appointments this morning that I gobbled my lunch (a bit of buffalo chili and slices of kosher beef hot dog) quickly.  Kix

Hi Lori! I went to the pool this morning.  Our regular T Th instructor was out of town, so we had the instructor who is really more suited for the elderly or someone who is having movement/flexibility issues.  Her focus is on building range of movement and flexibilty and getting in general movement.  She is a gerat person, but I just don't get that much out of her workouts, and have to force myself to really work alot harder, which is difficult since the class is at a slower pace.  I plan to also go tonight, but the same lady is filling in tonight as well.  I will probably try and add some laps.

Hi Lori, As you may recall, I don't exercise, since I hate all manual labor and I am lazy, but I do like to have fun.  Usually I play raquetball 45 minutes a day, but today, I played almost 2 hours.  Of course, this is not exercise because it is fun, but I have to go to the gym to do it!!!!  Imagine that!  Still not losing weight but feeling great!! Racquet ball sounds like exercise to me!  And plenty of it!

Wow, what a rough time for you, Lori.  You and your family are in my prayers. Today: 60 minutes cardio dance tape ("Cardio Rock") followed by 15 minute ab work (Shape Toning: Ab segment). Yesterday: 20 minute cardio (Shape Bonus Cardio Workout) followed by 60 minutes of total body weights (Get Ripped: Slim and Lean).

Jesus is so good to me;  I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!

Lori, My condolences on your losses - I just lost my grandmother, so can relate to what you're going through.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.   On the exercise front, I went to the gym twice Monday (strength training at lunch, cardio after work).  On Tuesday, I did physical therapy for my knee at lunch, then did 40 minutes on the elliptical trainer after work.   Thanks for keeping the gym open -  Kellie
