I've finally waited long enough to get scheduled for my first appointments. On May 14th I see the nut, psych and surgeon. The 6mos "supervised diet" ends in June and then I hope to have my surgery . It was getting really hard to stay positive, and I was seriously considering the alternative - eating myself to death, which has been getting pretty easy to do lately since hopelessness always gets better with lots of food, right??? Oh, I am so glad y'all (new word, thanks Marge) were writing about your successes with clothes, posting pictures and all last week and over the weekend. You kept me going like you have no idea. Yipee!! I have something to look towards now!! this can really happen to me too. I can hardly believe I deserve it Doing my happy dance, Julie

YAY Julie!  Congrats on getting through the process. Hopefully, you'll be able to announce a surgery date soon.  Keep hanging in there, each insurance company has a different poiicy and it can be quite frustrating to navigate through, or hang on through the process, but it is worth it!

Hooray for you, Julie!  With regard to the supervised diet, it's all documented, right?  Insurance companies can be evil buttheads sometimes, so just double check to make sure all "Is" are dotted and all "Ts" crossed. Less than two months from now, it all begins!  Hang on, it's going to be quite a ride!  And what's this nonsense that you can hardly believe you deserve it?  Of course you do!  Stop dissing yourself at once, or I shall be forced to put on my bully hat!!   () Kix

HEY JULIE,          HOW AWESOME IS THAT! GETTING THAT "SUPERVISED DIET" OUT OF THE WAY IS A BLESSING ITSELF. I NEEDED SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY "STAND" OVER ME, NOT SUPERVISE LOL... I WASNT THE POSTER CHILD FOR GET R DONE BEFORE SURGERY. NOW KIX...... MAN, SHE WAS GREAT! THATS WHY I DIDNT THINK I HAD WHAT IT TOOK TO STAY ON TRACK AFTERWARDS BUT THERES SOMETHING ABOUT ALL YOU GO THRU TO GET WLS THAT MAKES YA  APPRECIATE IT AND DO THE BEST YOU CAN. AND AS FAR AS "EATTING YOURSELF TO DEATH".... I HAD BEEN DOING THAT FOR YEARS. JUST WAS A SLOW DEATH... SO YOU GET READY FOR THE CHANGE OF YOUR LIFE... ITS AN AMAZING RIDE....

HUGS MARGE ( AND BY THE WAY. I COULD EVEN MAKE AN ENGLISH MAN SAY "YA'LL"  IF HE HUNG WITH ME LONG ENOUGH LOL)

Karma....What would life be without it?  250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!

Julie, Just stay the course, girlfriend.  I know it seems like everything takes FOREVER, but try to be patient and, trust me, it will all be worth it!!! Kellie
