Yup! Recognize, attitude, and gratitude... be honest with yourself = healthy success.
Yup. I use the teaspoon rule. Taste with a teaspoon... no need to full up like its last supper. When eating more, I measure out what I'll eat using the different capacity cups... easier than a scale. I take my time to make sure I am tasting my food.. no food eating contests. In the beginning I could not do this, it was a lot less of any foods, but post op almost 2 years I taste things and that is enough. Food is just to live, even at a celebration.... we are celebrating life.
Maybe check with your WLS support group and or your doctor. Check ups just to make sure nothing extra is going on. Read research and read some more.
Hello Everyone, I had my lap band surgery in 2007. I started at 340 lbs and got down to 218 lbs. But during the last 3 years I've had some personal issues and as a result, I gained weight and I am currently 318 lbs. I haven't even had a fill in 3 years. I scheduled an appointment for a fill for this Friday. But I can eat almost anything and any amount without any issues. I just hope this fill works and i am able to lose weight again. Any suggestions?
At my two week check up I was down 22 pounds. I go back this week for my one month check up. I don't think I lost anymore weight but inches. I have a few issues with this surgery like lack if energy and hormonal changes that may impact my weight loss. When did you have your surgery?
Hello there how are things going for you? I am losing slowly and feeling great in the process. The Dr. said its because I only had 70 lbs to lose so I am holding on to that. How are you feeling?
I'm in the DFW area. I'm glad things are going well for you. I am excited, and nervous. I keep wondering if this is really right for me. Then I think of the alternative to losing weight the old fashioned way. I could do it...for a while...then old habits slowly but surely start to creep back in, and I've gained more! Weight roller coasters suck.
Thats great, what part of Texas I am in Houston. Things have been going well. I feel awesome. Losing pretty slowly bit it is coming off thankfully. I know you are excited.
Hi, I'm in Texas. I am scheduled to be sleeved on Dec. 10th! How are things?
Hello...I am new to the JJ Smith GSC but I think I'm hooked now. I love the smoothies...well the ones without blueberries...as I DO NOT LIKE BLUEBERRIES...but the plan is easy to do. I am on the modified cleanse now and still have managed to drop 4 pounds this week alone. I wouldn't suggest you try this until you're out of your honeymoon phase of the surgery. During your honeymoon phase you'll drop weight anyway as you won't be able to eat or drink that much and please NO ALCOHOL FOR AT LEAST 1 YEAR...that'll drastically hinder your weightloss during the honeymoon phase.
Please keep us posted on your surgery date...we're claiming it for you...and congratulations for deciding to embark on this journey.
