After liquids its does go to soft food like beans, mash potatoe and pudding. Its ok to be excited you have every right. Lol
It could be a number of thing..menopause, ketosis, hygiene..anything. when i lost all that weight i had to make sure i washed and dried every crease and crevice....thoroughly. hanging, dirty folds of skin will smell something awful add hormonal changes from menopause and ketosis from a low carb way of eating.....you stink. You are going pay more attention to your personal hygiene. You should be able to smell yourself before anybody else and be able to take care of it before you start offending people.

I have a history of blood clots as well. I was in the hospital for a month in 2009. I had clots it each lung. Almost died at work. It was such awful, depressing time if my life
Im looking forward to this procedure. The insurance i have now does not cover it. However, our new insurance in January does. That's why i am starting now. I know with all the test and stuff that has to be done "pre-op", and the surgeons schedule, it will be sometime next year before i have the procedure done. I want it done on a Thursday so i will have a few days to recoup before returning to work.
Where do go after liquids? Is it puree? What is the diet rules after the procedure? Did you have to do any thing special pre-op?
Sorry i rambling. Thanks for responding and keep posting

So to my knowledge the GI surgeon Christopher Thompson is one of three who does the revision to the gastric bypass in the country. It took me 2 years to get this procedure done. I am not in pain just a little discomfort because of the stomach being restitched.today I was able to get in a good amount of fluids so it was a great day today. I am on liquids only for 44 more days so I will definitely keep you posted on my weight loss journey. Due to my medical history of blood clots is the only reason I stayed the night. Plis the go through the mouth to restitch. The stomach. I could not be done laprascopically due to my history. So it's less pain because the healing time is faster I go.back to work monday
I have an appt with the surgeon on 11/18. You know the first time around I got so big headed and thought I had this thing beat. Silly me. You and I are around the same weight. My lowest was 162. I can't believe I weigh 2 anything again...closer to 300 than 200. It sickens me to think about it.
How long are you on liquids? Are you in any pain? You stayed in the hospital over night? Did you have any complications? If you work outside your home, are you able to return to work? Im glad you are doing well.

I went with the Apollo suture procedure because that was the only option left for me with my health issues. I pray that things turn around for you as well
Hello tricie
I am doing well had the surgery on Wednesday. Was released from the hospital yesterday. I can tell I am going to be successful because I am doing two ounces of liquid an hour and the sight and smell of food is not bothering me at all. I weighed in at 276 and am on liquids for 44 more days..I will weigh in every Wednesday and post my results.

I am so with you. I am at my biggest now... 323pds. It dosen't look bad. I just feel I am tired all the time and my joints hurt. I am in my pre-stages also. I don't know what to expect. I will be 50 in a few years and I want to be healthier than I am now. Can't wait to start this new journey.
