Maiya,

Know, this will get easier.  The buyer's remorse is normal.  Many have feelings of regret right after surgery.  Stay on your doctor's plan and don't stray.  This is key for success.

The puree stage is better. I too could not take the broth so I drank protein shakes during my liquid stage along with Crystal Light since I could not drink water (and still cannot).

Stay focused, get all foods out of your house you cannot eat!  Don't let the food monster tempt you!

You CAN do this!!

my name is maiya im 21 years old and 6 days post op..

mentally i am ****** up not even going to lie. (excuse my language) i stopped smoking 13 days pre op after a pack a day for 5 years cold turkey. physically i am not hungry but mentally i am starving . food is all around me and if i see swanson broth one more time i might scream ... i rarely drink any fluids ( i just cant mentally do it for some reason) i am being perfectly honest in this post because i am seeking help from someone who has been thru or is going thru what i am going thru. with that being said i have feelings of regret , i cry all the time and sometimes have suicidal thoughts (i will not act on them ...just thoughts) i promise you i am not crazy . i am normally an extreamly joyful person who loves to laugh and make others laugh . right now is just a horrible time for me and need some help, encouragement , and inspiration to go on. honestly i am praying the pureed stage of this will be easier... please i need someone

This msg really concerns me. What is your issue with the nursing home and you say you need an advocate and can't get out. Are you held against your will.

What  is it that you need an advocate and some one to come see you.

What is your issues and are you somewhere you don't want to be or being abused.

Very very very  concerning msg.

PLEASE REPLY

I totally agree with you Cherikola, I fell off track and gained back 20-30 pounds back, and I changed my eating habits back to the basics, pretty much as you said (no flour, no sugar) and I loss without any effort. I did exercise 4-5 days per week, simply by walking; I started out at 2-3 miles/day then I got up to 5 miles/day 5 days per week. The weight fell off....good advice. Oh, and water is so very important.

Nothing taste as good as being healthy feels...Everything in moderation is the key. Make a plan: Wake up each day knowing where you're headed, which direction you're taking, and what you are going to accomplish and stick with it!!!

I didn't get all my protein in at the very beginning.  Do your best and stay in touch with your doctor if you have too many issues.

Go into KETOSIS FOR 6~7 Months. No Bread! No Canned Soda or bottled sweet drinks, no rice, no chips, noodles, sugar of any kind.......no potatoes, no peas and no corn.   Drink an adequate amount of water. Eat all the leafy veggies you want, salad with low calorie vinegrettes all day.....ALL THE MEAT YOU WANT ALL DAY if you want.....but I advise realistic portions per meal. Go for it.
