I had a lot if jealous friends after surgery sad huh but what's worst N don't let it be you promise me I gained a lot an I over heard so called friends taking about my gain saying they knew i d gain it back ;( now that hurt gotta claim my victory back 30 lb weight list here I come

Sorry I don't do Facebook so I don't know exactly 

It has been 7 months since my surgery.  I spent Christmas in Florida with some family.  I have two cousins who had the surgery.  One had the gastric bypass and the other the lap-band.    I find it very interesting that they are taking credit for my decision to have the surgery.  I never had any discussions with either of them regarding having the surgery.  I didn't respond to their comments regarding it.  Why argue with them?  I did it when I was ready and for myself not them. 

I did find it hard to get through the Christmas parties then Thanksgiving dinner.  So I am back on protein shakes and lighter foods.

One other thing I realized this holiday that people I considered friends prior to surgery have an issue with my weight loss.  Apparently same thing with people who where not my friends are now speaking to me because of it. 

I found that the holidays have been a time of reflection for me.  A time to realize who are truly your friends through thick and thin (literally) and who aren't.  A time to reflect on who I am becoming.  The greatest gift I gave myself this year was the surgery.  The greatest gift someone gave me for Christmas was a journal (Thanks Sis!).
