Hi Aliha

How is Optifast working out for you?

Feb 19th will be here so fast, so now you just have to stay focused and on your diet until your date.

Sometimes it is best not to discuss your WLS with others because they will try to talk you out of it and every single person will tell you they know someone who died.  You don't need that.

Yep, I think you are right, people do feel more comfortable with the fat us because it is comfortable for them, while it is miserable for us.

I wish you luck with your upcoming surgery, by the way, what surgery are you getting,  RNY,DS, Lapband?

I'm looking into gastric banding aka lap band surgery.  I need a swift recover because I only get two weeks off per year. Also it's less invasive. The down side is that it's high maintenance but ill adjust.

It took me about six months from my first meeting until my surgery date, but things were a lot different 7 years ago and we had to do a lot more to qualify back then.  I don't really know what is involved now a days, but it is probably somewhere around the same time length.  You should inquire when you go to your first meeting.

Sorry the board is so dead, but feel free to post your questions and we will get to them as time permits.    So what surgery are you looking at getting RNY, DS, Sleeve?

Topic: Hello All!!!
I'm new to this forum and obesity help but I'm not new to feeling like. I ran out of all of my resources. I'm pre op awaiting my info session March 6th. Nervous but relieved that I'm finally eliminating
( excuse the pun) the pink elephant in the room. Can anyone estimate how long this process should take from start to surgery date? Thank you all!!
