Hello,
I can relate to your battle. I am fighting the same one!! @ six yrs. post.op this month. As they say get back to basics and go from there. One pound at a time.
For me, it's been more than a slow loss, but I refuse to give up. I have come way to far, to go back to 350+ lbs.
But if I do not get ahold of it now???????? then who can I blame. Only my self.
I am not beating my self up too bad, because I have been making a honest effort and really trying. Just have to be patient with my self and the wt. loss.
Hang in there! Don't give up. For me, this will always be a lifetime batttle. But after having surgery, we have come to far.
Peace-jbug

When even I experience weight gain I look back at my old journals. I then begin to do everything I did in the begin of my journey to reset my mind and body.EXERCISE and PROTEIN!  Just make sure you stay positive and have fun with it.

Topic: I'm Back...

Hi,

Today, I rejoined OH.  This time, as a person seeking a revision.  I first joined back in early 2008 (under a different username); I had RNY surgery on Dec 28, 2008.  I did well for the first year or so, but then I started slacking off, thinking the surgery would allow me to eat what I wanted and still keep the weight off.  Well, surprise, surprise!  It doesn't work that way.  So, I'm back.

Let me tell you, rejoining this site was not easy for me.  Granted, I made many friends and gained (and gave) lots of support here.  (It's a great site!)  But, returning and rejoining made me face the harsh reality that I really need help.  Again.  I can't believe I'm starting this whole process over (haven't even attended my first info session, nor have I started that whole uphill insurance battle).  I can't do this alone.  I do know that.  And that's why I'm back.

I'm scheduled to attend an information session on May 6th. It can't come soon enough.  I am thankful for 2nd chances and, provided I'm given one, I will NOT waste it this time.

xoxo

Congrats on your wl success Diabolique.  Changing the way we look is usually one of the reasons why we choose this path.  However, I don't think many of us who are fortunate enough to reap the rewards of a successful wl program are ready for the overwhelming transformation that occurs.  I know I was stunned for a while at how differently I looked and felt.  Still today almost fours years later, I encounter people who knew me pre wls and they don't recognize me.  I laugh when this happens now because I've accepted this new body for the most part, yet it's foreign to them now.  You will settle into it too.  Do enjoy this honeymoon journey and work it while you can to drop as much as you can.  There will be a bounce back phase, and you'll long for those days when you were caught off guard looking at your reflection and wondering "who is that?"...........

JJ.................Keep it moving!

Congrats DivaMichelle on all of your success!  That's a great testament to what adapting an attitude of a lifestyle change do.

Keep it moving!
