What a great post dstgirl2000! I haven't been on OH in so long but decided to revisit today out of frustration from my recent weight gain. This weekend, I will be 7 years out and the weight is slowly creeping back on. Its sooo frustrating. A few weeks ago I had to break down and buy bigger sized clothes. Not fun at all. I can relate to so many things that you said. I definitely have a huge weakness with sweets and also snacking late at night. Seems like I'm the hungriest after 7 PM and all I want are sweet, sugary foods that we all know are no good. I know its wrong but I try to justify it by reminding myself how hard and often I work that I'm deserving of a little "emotional comfort". I've been somewhat embarrassed facing people that know about my WLS, but I suppose that's normal.
I'm going to follow your advice and really try to get back on the weight loss trail. Thanks so much for the detailed advice.
I just wanted to say Hello to old and new members!! I hope that 2013 has been great to you so far!

I had the DS on 9/29/03. So, I will be 10yrs out today. I went from 353lbs and only got down to 192lbs at my lowest. I am now up to 210 and for some reason, my body is just comfortable teetering between 205 and 210. I hate it, but it is what it is regardless of what I do. I have big genes in my family and my body doesn't want to lose anymore. Anyway, glad to see other DSers on the African American forum.
