I ***** a lot but Lord knows I'm grateful for the progress I have made      .  MsMartitaLinda and I last week pictured here at our regular 5am early bird breakfast at our usual spot.  She is 5+ years post op and I am 3+ years post op.  Not only is she a good friend but most of us know how much encouragement she provides through her regular "Picture a Day Keeps the Pounds Away" posts.

MsMartita's DH was our photographer on this morning.

No doubt, pictures are motivating!

Trying to keep it off?  Surround yourself with like minded people or at a minimum those who do not bring out the old habits in you.  Find something else to do with the folks you love but intentionally or not discourage you from eating well.  There are far too many special occasions in most people's lives to stray at each one.  Plan your indulgences when possible.  Adjust your menu and exercise for those spur of the moment events.  If you are still a compulsive eater, acknowledge your binges; track the calories over eaten; then cut back and increase your activity to avoid weight gain.

Some of us will always struggle to behave ourselves.  My inner fat girl is working to kick my outer less fat girl's @$$ on a daily basis.  Damn it sometimes hourly, lol.  I am determined to stay in my size zero Gap/ Old Navy jeans
and I measure all new clothes to ensure vanity sizing does not trick me into moving on up.  While I'm 5 lbs over weight and 10 lbs above my lowest I am far from where I once was for sure.  I will be back in my "lifetime" size: American Eagle Jeans size zero.  There is no other option for me.  RNY is a life time solution only if I make it so.

Five pounds down or a hundred pounds down, remember how hard you've worked for it.  Some regain?  Focus on how far you've come even if you have lost ground.  All pounds lost regained and then some?  Figure out what went wrong and know you have done it before and will do it again.  This time, you have your new insights to further empower you.
