Next Thursday my life will change forever and I am scared, nervous, and excited all at the same time. I cancelled lap band surgery 2 years ago bc I felt I could do it on my own. Well I decided on gastric sleeve 2 months ago after I found a great surgeon. So ready to be sleeved. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated

It took me about 8 years & several reconsidered procedures to get there.  We need to be positive.  Use that nervous energy to increase your physicaL activity.

My advise to you is no "last meals" sks binges.  Food will not go out of style as you are loosing and your smaller liver will make the surgeons job easier.  Back off the carbs now to help shrink the liver and help reduce any fatty liver issues.

Second, post often.  Hit the board for your surgey month where they are going through this with you right now.  Post on here BAF and answer other posts so we keep supporting each other.  Little things, big things, nonsense, current events, whatever.  Someone likely shares your concerns and we all need a release.

Last, relax and enjoy the ride.  It will have its frustrations but in the end it will all be worth it.  Congratulations.

Congrats SD123!...............I am excited and happy for you.  I know you've read everything about your procedure and are prepared for it.  All I can add is get ready for a life change for the better.  Pray often and do as your medical pros instruct you to do.  Know and listen to your body.  You know what's best for you.

I wish you well on your continued journey.  Keep us all posted often!......
