I just can't let go of my clothes...they are getting way to big and I'm looking a little slouchy in them but for some reason I feel like I'm going to lose my weight and I might gain it back

It sounds crazy but I know I will never be this weight again but I just can't seem to let go.

Chile please!!.......  I let go of every size I grew out of so fast, I was practically naked!  I couldn't wait to get to the next smaller size!  Blessing another sister with the clothes I grew out of, while enjoying my new found form!

Have confidence in yourself and your ability to get to goal.  You've accomplished one of the most difficult parts in having the procedure.  Don't derail it by holding on to the "old you" that you so wanted to be free of.  Embrace what's new and waiting for you.  That's ........smaller better fitting clothing that will show off your progress, garner all of the complimentsyou've worked had for and deserve, and boost your self-esteem to keep it moving forward to the next smaller size.

LET GO.......and.............KEEP IT MOVING THICKLIN!!!!......

I'm 2 yrs post op and still finding my old clothes. I donated most of them and gave some to my co-worker and friends but this weekend i'm getting rid of all that stuff. I need room in my closet for all of the new clothes and shoes I've bought over the past 2 years.

I did a closet purge a week ago.  Shoot, some of the clothes I pulled out still fit, but I didn't like HOW they fit so they went in the "Hell No Gotta Go" Pile lol.  Now granted, I haven't gotten bold enough to give them away or call goodwill to come get them but I have moved them into the extra room that I never go in.

Gurl let those clothes GO!!!  I feel that if I let them stay then I'm telling myself that I will gain the weight back.  I've kept 2 outfits in my largest size, but the rest are going bye bye!

Not trying to rain on your parade, but....

With a VSG, you still absorb 100% of all the calories you take in.

I have a DS, because I knew I would need the malabsorption to maintain my weight loss.  The top half (restriction) part of the DS is a VSG.

If you ever need the malabsorptive component, you're already halfway there!

I guess you could say we're "half" sisters

Keep a coupla big outfits you really like - you'll be able to use them for "demo" purposes later, and if God forbid, you get some significant regain, you'll have a coupla cute outfits to wear.

Not hatin' on the VSG, but I would consider getting the small bowel switch half for a full DS.  It's more of a pain with the supplements, but I'd rather do supplements than risk regain!

HW 405/SW 397/CW 138/GW 160  Do the research!  Check the stats!
The DS is *THE* solution to Severe Morbid Obesity!
