I'm supposed to have VSG laproscopically... I have never had keloids but I scar VERY easily....my Dr explained that there will be a few small scars....I'm worried that my stomach will look like a tic tac toe board....
what have your experiences been??

I was sleeved last month and I don't think my scars are bad. Hell I think my stretch marks is worse than my surgery scars. I also don't see myself wearing a two piece soon always lol. With any of the wls you'll have some type of scaring.

Good luck!

Except for the largest incision my scars are not noticible afterr three years.  Even the large one must be stretched and pointed out for anyone else to notice.

If you scar or keloid normally expect it to be the same with your wls scars.  As soon as they are healed treat scars daily with cocoa butter or another preparation.  Cocobutter is inexpensive, natural, and with consistent use twice daily your scars may never get dark.  The one existing scar darkened only after I stopped treating it twice daily.

Big picture:  Scars are ugly but fat is uglier.  The scars have no health impact.  A tummy tuck/ paniculectomy will remove the scarred skinn permanantly hould plastics be in your future.
