Checking in after many years

 Hello!!!!
Greatings to all the newbies and What'sUp??? to all the old heads.
I have not been around for at least two years.  Just stopped by to say Hi and wish EVERYONE Well!!  I had to come back over here to see my surgery date - I forgot it 6/3/2004.

WOW 8 years almost.  Today was my 49th birthday and I am excited about the next 364 days.  I have gained 50 pounds back from my lowest weight of 125 and I want to loose 30 of those pounds this year.  285 to 125 to 175 in 8 years.  What a WHIRLWIND!!

Just know that the weight does come back IF YOU don't continue the work.  Once you begin to feel "NORMAL" again and forget the work it takes, it creeps back up.  Most of the Old Heads - know this to be true.  This surgery requires REAL WORK for LIFE.  Exercise and a balanced diet is your new way of life and if you forget that the pounds will eventually come back and remind you.

I'm focused on being a FABULOUS 50, physically, mentally, and spiritually - I've got WORK to DO!!

I'll be back because I NEED to get back to basics and focus on these next 364 days and drop a whole lotta baggage along the way.

You can reach me at [email protected] or [email protected]

hey Sharon..... lol I checked in yesterday and the memories came back to me..... I remember the frustration of delays with the insurance..... the nervousness and excitement of when the date is finally set..... wow...its funny how you forget things..... then they come back...... so I made a prominse to stop by more often because the newbies def need the support like we had back in the day

A whole lot a trouble wrapped in a smile

Welcome back! I'm visiting after a long break I need to be re-energized and get my focus back. Like you said I sometimes forget I'm on a lifelong journey.  We have the same focus for the next 365 days :)  Congrats on your weight loss, your eight years and  your success during the next 365 days.

THANK YOU ALL!!!  I'm still working on it.   Not back in the gym but drinking less alcohol and more water.  My meal for the day consists of a fresh salad, complete with all vegetables peas, carrots, brocoli, cauliflower, spinach, and chicken with a raspberry vinigerette dressing.  I say all day because it takes me from 11:30 to 7pm to eat it and I do not eat after 8pm.  I still can not eat much at one time.  The pouch DOES WORK!!

I'm sure I'll get sick of it after a few weeks and switch to something else but for now that is the ticket.

I'm taking a daily walk.  Taking my vitamins.  I feel lighter.  I refuse to get on a scale until I can get back into this ONE pair of jeans size 9 that I am missing.  They are not so very tight anymore.  My 12's are getting looser so I know I am making progress in the right way.

I know I need to rest on the old rules and values of a WLS patient.  You can not EVER forget where you came from and what it took to make the change.

KEEP WORKING IT~~~I AM!!

Love ya!!

Peace & Blessings,   Sharon
