May I wait with you?

Hi everyone,
My name is Rainy. I am a married, 35 year old mom of four kids. I am almost 1/2 through my 6 month doctor supervised program for insurance requirements. I started this journey on January 31st when I first when to the informational seminar, and I haven't looked back yet. I am not the most patient person, so was initially discouraged when I learned that I would have to go through the 6 month program, but somewhere along the line, I've decided to make the most of it: learn all that I can, change some of my habits, start a good exercise program, drink more water, etc. July is when everything should be submitted to the insurance so I'm hoping to have surgery by the end of July/beginning of August, which will be good since my kids will still be out on summer break. I also work fulltime, so trying to balance everything can be a little bit of a strain, so I need to be sure that everything is in order before surgery....
I look forward to coming here to give/receive support. I wish you all the best!! Congrats to all of the post-op'ers!

Dr. Kuwada is a part of CMC, correct? The name sounds familiar. Dr. Gersin will be doing my surgery. I'm praying for a good experience, but so far I feel really good about the practice overall. If you could share your experience, I would really appreciate it...Thanks so much!!

Hey Thicklin....Love your hair :) I'm au naturale too (and lovin it)....
I know what you mean about discouragement. I think by the time that all this is over I would have gone to at least 25 appointments. The stuff that these insurance companies make you go through can be frustrated and discouraging. I am determined not to let anything stop me. I thank God for allowing me to seek more information on this surgery and to pursue it. I believe strongly that this decision will be among the best decisions that I ever make in my lifetime.
Congrats on losing your 10%. My insurance doesn't require that, but they require way too much in my opinion...but I am grateful just to have insurance and grateful that it will pay 100%. That, in itself is a blessing, and I know it will be worth the wait. Keep your head up.
How much longer do you have before you can submit to the insurance company?
Take care,
