I need to blow some steam

Okay I'm going to say it! I'm jeouslous and I'm not ashame to say. I visited BAF and VSG forums on the regular and for the past week it seems like everyone is getting approved  except me, no really they're handing out approval dates like government cheese. Its 30 people on there with all approval dates. Real talk I don't want to say Congrats  anymore. I know it sounds childish but oh well.

I know everybody going to say... your date is coming soon and I need to keep working on my goal and its not a rat race. I can't help feeling like this.

LOL , trust me i know how you must feel. When i was waiting on my approval i must've read 50 approvals on the boards and yes i was jealous! LOL I think what your going through is normal. I know you have heard it alot but patience is best and relax your approval will come and we will all be saying Congrats to you!

just wanted to add, when i was waiting on my approval the coming here to the boards helped me with getting my appeal done and fighting the insurance company. I couldve never got my approval without the help of some here on the boards. It was hard but when i seen someone with an approval and with the same insurance that i had , i always messaged them to see how did they get approved and if they had todo an appeal. This was great info that i needed to get the ball rolling with my insurance.

I hear ya, I just can't wait to have my big post on my own approval date. I know its going to take some time. I was just told I had a slight Iron and calcium deficiency and plus the rest of my 10% which is about 13 pounds left and some more stuff left and it kinda got to me today. I'm going to keep at it and work one task at a time. Thanks for reaching out to me.

I know you are feeling a little discouraged Thicklin.......But don't despair long!  Get back in the fight, and keep fighting.  This is real training for how you will have to fight to get to goal once you do get approved.  You can do this!!!.......One task at a time.....and we're here for you when you need to just blow ooff a little steam!!

Hang on in there!!.......your time to shine is coming too!!

Okay..I just called my wls clinc this morning and talked to the NUT and she ad viced me that I might be losing in inches or gaining muscle mass and that's why I'm at a pre op stall lol. She wants me to continue to keep up my routine and I will start coming back down. That made me feel alittle better.

 It hurts I know Keep the faith don't give up PLEASE!!

you know what mshaz,i had one of those days yesterday. but one thing for sure i have two much to live for to give up I'll be letting myself down and my girls and letting my girls down is not an option. so no never that. thanks for words of encouragement but I'm back on track.

I won't tell you my approval story cause it will make you want to kill somebody, lol.  However, I know what it is to want something so bad and be forced to wait it out for no damned reason. 

Lets face it. By the time we are 100 lbs overweight with a bmi at 38 or above and start piling on the comorbidities we know where we stand.  Fat people do not take surgery lightly.  Our pride is often hurt by having to make this decision.  We may even see it as a failure in some way.  Yet, our misery is unecessarily prolonged.  

Keep pushing your paper work.  Call your insurance and stay on top of what they need.  Call your practice and ensure they are complying with the documentaion requirements as you learn about missing data. 

Its hard to keep congratulating folks when your date is no where in sight.  You are in what can be a long process and getting closer.  Hold tight, your day is coming.
