*Be active so food is primarily fuel and not the event itself. 
*Have a lan and a fall back plan.
*Reward yo
urself with something that reinforces your goals.

Not just for runners.  Site has a variety of workout music and music timed to progressive running programs for 5k, 8k, 10k, and speed.  In place indoors, treadmill, or at the track run to the beat and you'll complete the stated distance.  There is also a variety of interval training music from about 130 bpm up to to 180 bpm; and, fixed bpm workout music as well.  Lengths of tracts vary but there is a speed/ length to suit most workout needs.

Did a zumba class tonight.   Here is what I posted about it on FB. 

I put on my little spandex workout outfit, get all powdered up with Gold Bond powder to cut down on some of the sweat spots, I put it in all the areas, you know. I am in the Zumba class and we are doing the move where your legs are open and you are running in place as fast as you can and huge POOFS of powder and poofing from my crotch. I was like Pig Pen in a cloud of powder. LOL.    Embarrassing.


But anyway i'm going to a water zumba class in the pool in the morning at 9:00am.   I'll let you know how that goes.  

I am working my ass off trying to lose this weight.

I don't even want to picture that MsLee   folks backing away saying wtf?  

Never did water zumba.  I wish I could get a good zumba dvd.  I'm not into class schedules.  MsMartitaLinda's daughter teaches a goos zumba class I get to occaisionally.  The instructor makes all the difference.
