BIRTHDAY PARTIES LEAD TO VERY BAD EATING, not this time

So birthday girl decided she wanted to go to Red Lobster for her birthday meal.  I ordered grilled shrimp which came with mashed potatoes which were buttery delicious, so I had three bites and I mean small bites of the mashed potatoes and I just could not help it.  I ate a whole biscuit,  Yes I know I shouldn't have had one but man I love those dam things.  So after at the house we had cake and I had a very small square of it and it was freaking great, and that was it.  Asmall piece of cake and three bites of mashed potatoes.

You all don't know how significant this meal was because nornally I would be like ok we are out i'm gonna get what I want, but not today.  I was determined to not go crazy.  In the car I looked up the website, looked at the menu and decided what I was going to get.    

I did really good, oh and I also ran my bootie off at the gym today.   I am feeling really good about myself right now.

 You deserve a pat on the back and should feel good about yourself.  Glad there was no candy. LOL  Whenever we show restraint we come off victorious.

I think I would have blown it had there been candy.   Seeing everyone eat fried fish and shrimp and looking at everyone  fat sure helped, because I don't want to be fat with them anymore.

I've never let it cross my mind to restrain myself because I don't want to be
fat with them anymore.  When others eat whatever, I need to realize that
if I want to real my goal, I gotta do me not join in.  Good thoughts.

Great effort Lee!....

Everything in moderation.  I'm a huge believer in eating pretty much what you can eat, but in small portions or just a taste.  Denying your body of what it's truly desiring is torture.  Once I just get a taste of what it is I'm craving, that huge urge is no longer this monster in me that says "you're being punished" and can't have it.  We all know that we always want what we are told we can't have, but as soon as we get it, it's really not such a huge deal.  The trick in it all is restraint in not going overboard and causing more problems.  If you can master moderation.........that's just another tool to use in this wl battle!

Thanks, I think I did pretty good too.   Oh, it wasn't my birthday.

I love Red Lobster too, especially those dam hot biscuits.
