Hi Everyone,

TV One has started a new series that profiles Missing People of Color. The first episode was last night. Unfortunately, I missed it because I am just finding out about it. The show runs Weds at 10pm. I know its not the best time slot but its a start. I am so happy that a Media outlet has taken on this plight. Please tune in and show your support for the show. Anyone of us could find ourselves in this situation. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time...has lead to dire consequences for so many of us. Of course, I have already contacted TV One about profiling my sister. I need to send them her info. Regardless of whether Lynn is profiled or not...I am escatic that someone is finally taken this on. Nancy Grace can go kick rocks....

WEDNESDAYS 10PM ET

Find Our Missing- About the Show

Find Our Missing, a new, hour long docu-drama series for TV One, will put names and faces to people of color – young and old- who have disappeared without a trace. Each riveting episode features a dramatic and emotional tale that places the viewer within the lives of the missing person, along with reflecting the pain of their loved ones, while confronting dead ends at every turn.

From the moment of their disappearance the story back tracks to learn about the missing person from the people who knew them best – who they were, what made them tick and how they touched those around them. With each break’s cliffhanger and each new twist unearthed, viewers will be more than just engrossed in the story being told; they will want to help solve the case. I envision nancy more as a kissing my un wipped freshly eliminated ass than kicking rocks.

I know this is dear to you and I'm praying your sister is profiled here.
I can't tune unless this program is also available for steaming since I don't have TV One.

You are so right about the fact that this can happen to any family.  My DD and I have a system since she began college and had to walk accross the campus alone at night.  We track each other by text or stay on the phone.  Thank God for gps.  God forbid we loose track of someone we know exaxtly where our last communication occurred.

Thats a smart move on you and your DD parts. I know it gets real hairy when we talk about using mace, tasers and other personal protection devices because the person can take them and use it against you. It is good prevention to let someone know your whereabouts and trying to stay out of dangerous situations. When I was in college and had to walk across campus after dark. I would wear a large hooded garment (so my breast were concealed) and tried my best to walk like a dude. I mean...really masculine walking...as best as I could tell. I made myself very very aware of my surroundings and people who were out as I walked. I tried to walk in the most travelled paths too. No shortcuts. It was my best acting ever but I believe it kept me safe.

Girl...you know that I wanted to say something more harsh about Nancy Grace but she has already done it to herself. Glad she embarrassed herself on national TV by farting on live TV with Dancing with the Stars

Looking manly is a really good idea.  Even when driving I stress to DD things like don't stop for gas or at cash machines etc after dark.  Not  even when its not very late.  Also, in your car stick to the well traveled routes regardless of convenience.

DD is getting tired of the room mate thing and wants to move but with a couple more years left in school I'm urging her to stay put.
She has a quick well traveled route from campus to her off campus apartment. Plus her roomies are three kick ass dudes who look out for her.  We have to stay vigilant.

Geez, I missed it too. Thanks for the reminder. I really wanted to watch it. I remember hearing about the two young sisters that went missing but of course I read it on CNN years after the fact. I also hope and pray they profile your sister as well.
