X Post: Happy Surgiversary to ME!!
Hiya Ladies & Gentlemen!! It was one year ago today that I woke up asking WHAT THE DAMN?! had been done to me! It felt like I had been hit by a truck and I questioned my decision to have WLS. That was short lived and I quickly looked forward to my new life. Along the way I questioned whether or not I had broken my DS (no worries Kirrmy, I didn't post my concerns...lol) as well as wondered if I would be successful on this journey. I guess after attempting to lose weight for what seems like forever you get used to failing at weight loss.
I'm so glad that all of my fears were wrong. I never broke my DS and now armed with what was definitely the right WLS for me I feel that I'm on a journey that leads to one place....SUCCESSville!! I'm surrounded by supportive people, I've gained priceless knowledge here reading the progress & journeys of others and I feel GREAT!! I'm not where I want to be yet, but I'm glad to say that I'm far from where I was.
Thank you all for every post that you have shared and for the endless knowledge posted daily. I may not always comment but I'm always "listening". I'm down 135 lbs (so far) and have gone from a size 32/34 to what is now a very loose fitting 18!!
