What's gracing your holiday table today?
Holidays are an all day affair for us. My menu for the day:
Starters/Breakfast
-****tail shrimp
-brie
-pepperoni
-crackers
-mini croisants
-celery and baby carrots
-good strong coffee, rum, and wine (It is never too early to have a drink in my house!)
Dinner
-turkey, fully cooked by Stew's with home made gravy
-stuffing home made (Who says you have to stuff it before you
cook it!)
-roast beef cooked with
-large baby portabella mushrooms, onion, and baby carrots
-collard greens prepared vegetarian with no added fat
-macaroni and cheese prepared with dreamfields and part skim
cheddar & mozzarella cheeses
-yams splenda sweetened
-brown basmatti rice
-stewed pigeon peas prepared vegetarian
Desert
-pumpkin pie sf
-apple pie sf
-ice cream nsa
-assorted confections, the full sugar & fat stuff
****tails
-amontillado sherry
-zinfandel
-cabernet
-rum
Now you know why I had to pay it forward for ten days.

We bought the turkey too among other items. The trick is to make it all taste like it has some color, lol. I bought a piece of fresh turkey and used it to make stock. From the stock I did the gravy and stuffing.
The rest of dinner was home made. Brunch and deserts were also purchased. We jazz it up and give it some color.
