I agree protein is the key to controlling hunger. I learned this on the pre op diet. My belly was chewing me inside out on day two and I was going over the deep end with hunger. I skipped that morning protein shake thinking what can a drink do for me.
Lesson learned. When protein is high, hunger and cravings are low to non existant.
Mornings I think about getting the protein in but I am a night eater. Most of the time I'm good but overnight I got into the fruit and totally through today off. I bet a 106 cal, 0 carb, 24g egg white protein shake would have saved me a few hundres calories in apples and raisins.
Luv me some MsPhyll! You may have just solved my periodic night cravings.
