HELP!!!! ROOM IS SPINNING!
About a year ago I started having what my doctor called "delayed dumping syndrome". I would eat and about an hour or hour 1/2 later I would experience dizziness, heart racing and fuzzy thinking. We looked over my diet and took things back to basics, protein first, etc. For several months things went back to "normal???". I went on with life. Fast forward 8-9 months. During the past few days it has started to happen again. Before food may have caused the problem but now I can't be sure. This morning I hadn't eaten anything and had a Glucerna Hunger Smart shake. I saw my Endocrinologist today. She is going to do CAT Scan and MRI but wants to test Cortisol levels too. Anyone else suffering? Any ideas on what's going on?
I have no insights but I am sorry to you are having this lousy experience. I did not know symptoms of dumping included fuzzy thinking. Fortunately you have a doctor who is looking at the bigger picture and not just your diet.
High cortisol (cushing's syndrome) often comes with fat storage even when you are eating right and exercising. Do you track your meals? Have you notices a threshold for any macronutrient or calorie count at which sysmptoms appear?
The best diagnostic tool I've been introduced to is journaling. Decades back a doctor was able to treat an issue that no one else could identify for months and months by drilling me on seemingly insignificant questions. Tracking both food and activity may help identify a pattern.
Please share the results when your testing is done. Best of luck. i hope this is easily identified and resolved.
