IT SEEMS MY WORLD HAS SLIPPED OFF ITS AXIS
My head is spinning right now or I should say spinning again. Five weeks to the day, my circle has lost another 30+ year friend. This time there was no warning. A seemingly healthy person gets up in the morning and passes away while preparing for the day ahead. No accident, no fanfare, she died of natural causes. Everything appeared so "normal" that her husband and childhood sweatheart did not realize she was gone right away.
I did not think this **** happened before you became an octogenarian. Who would think the half century mark would be the point where we start dropping. Except for my chronic health issues we've been a healthy actve group.
We all know the cliches about life being short and living life to its fullest. Thankfully, she is someone who did not put off enjoying life. What can I say but rest in peace. I know my friends are already hanging out together. Hopefully the rest of our over lapping circles of friends won't be meeting up in the afterlife for another forty plus years.
