How well grounded in reality are you? A large part of this episode in our lives is envisioning where we want to be. Have you transitioned this from fantasy into realistic expectations? Have you transitioned this from a magical occurance to practical principles?
Tell the whole truth and be accountable.
Loose the fat, build the muscle!
- Or, do you find an excuse to limit or avoid exercising as you should?
Eat well for your long term health!
Or, do as you please as long as the scale is where you want it to be?
Protein, vitamins and minerals, macronutrients in proprotions best for you!
- Or, whatever it turns out to be each day as long as it looks like you are doing well?
Reach and maintain the correct weight, body fat percentage, and bmi for your personal best!
- Or, shoot for your version of "thick" or "curvy" instead of your personal healthy weight.
- Or, push for your "perfect" size where you envision everything in super model proportions instead of a body that has known obeseity?
There is often a lot of chatter about what didn't work; this procedure vs that; wls gave me this issue; wls is broken etc. What's lacking is the concrete follow up that defines exactly what the issue is, why it exists, and what if anything can be done to resolve it. Read some of the boards vs the medical studies and you know exactly what I mean.
Think about it: How grounded in reality is your behavior today?

A more advanced calculator that's still easy to use.

Not just for runners. Site has a variety of workout music and music timmed to progressive running programs for 5k, 8k, 10k, and speed. In place indoors, treadmill, or at the track run to the beat and you'll complete the stated distance. There is also a varietty of interval training music from about 130 bpm up to to 180 bpm; and, fixed bpm workout music as well. Lengths of tracts vary but there is a speed/ length to suit most workout needs.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
Some folks wallowing in their "issues" will take offense at the above. If you see yourself here, be mindful that while I don't mind shaking you up a bit my meandering brain is a selfish machine. This is about my own reality check.
I was willing to move mountains to find out why the hell I gained weight just weeks after wls when the fat was melting off of my surgery brothers and sisters. Then of course there is my year plus endevor to loose a sudden 20 lb gain. I finally got a medically verified answer. Cushings is confirmation that I'm not just bull****ing about the inability to sustain weight loss.
Then there is my unrealistic view of self. I look like winnie the pooh in my mind at least. I was horrified by the costume pics from the oh conference. I still battle the voices in my head.
I refuse to accept that wl is impossible for anyone so I will get back where I need to be and stay there. That ten pounds brings my bp from upper normal to lower normal.
The sense of self issue is harder for me as there is a long historu attached to it. I won't repeat what the voices in my head say and give them more power over me. Instead I'll get objective proof just as I did for my difficult weight loss issue. I can argue with the visual but not with body fat percentage. Now to find the place and cough up the $$$ for a bodpod rmr/ body fat scan.
I will do this because I must do this. There is n way I can be strong and healthy in body without being well grounded in reality. This is about more than what and how I eat and exercise.

Marcia, I refuse to believe that also. I hope and pray that we can ose weight because if not we are going to both go dam crazy, as if we aren't already.

I am frustrated right now and I see you are too. I am back to exercising like crazy which just ****** me off when the dam scale does move. But I am going to be really good this week and try to lose 10 pounds because I would like to have those 20 pounds back off of my ass by Jan.

I should have done an EFS count down to Thanksgiving. I'll be a few days short but I can still start tomorrow. I need to ramp up the cardio too but I'm absolutely exhausted.

Some way, some how we MUST make this happen. I need a body fat/ rmr measurement. Now to find a place to have it done. I've located medical centers and universities with the equipment now to call and find one available to the public.
