How are you doing?  I am always interested in hearing about revisions because all I ever hear is that they are not really effective.  I hope it works out great for you.

I believe a lot of folk with failed revisions have not faced their food related issues head on.  That's not to say if your revision does not work its all your fault.

I say this because I'm on another site for eating disorders whi*****ludes us wls folks (we flock together like birds of a feather).  There are failed surgeries and revisions of all sugeries types although we do not focus on this.  Each of us has an eating disorder that can interfere with our results.

I think revisions are effective in those who began with very high bmi's or have a "broken" wls.  Once they have milked all they can out of their initial procedure they still qualify for surgery and need the additional help to keep loosing.

Getting past that need to eat is so very frustrating.  As we know, even small amounts can blow our wl straight to hell.  Sometimes I wish for a revision to loose this extra twenty my thighs are carrying.

I had the rny in 2004. My surgeon went in to maybe remove more intestines andtighten the hole and the stomach. Once he went in he decided to revise my whole surgery done in 2004. So he sectioned my stomach in half making it smaller then the original surgery. He then stretched the intestines...so in a nut shell he revised my surgery that was done by another surgeon in 2004

I have no idea what stretched intestines means but all I can say is wow.  Procedures have changes so much over the fifteen or so years I've beed paying attention.  Sounds like you've been upgraded to the latest and greatest version of the rny.  Congrats to you.
