COFFEE - NAME YOUR POISON
Arrgh, over half my thread disappeared into cyberspace and I had to re type this.
What's your favorite? Straight up drip coffee? Perculator old school style? A creative psuedo european fru fru variety at starbucks, mickey d's or dunkin donuts etc? Cafe con leche, cafe aulait, cappucino or any such variety of strong coffee with hot milk? Very few of us don't have a regular beverage these days.
I know MsMartita luv's luv's luv's her bustelo cafe con leche with klim( while klim is part of my childhood nightmares, lol). As for me, I am a true coffee lover and I enjoy many varieties since long before the advent of the $6 cup at a coffee chain.
Coffee was a hughe part of my child hood. We lived near the bustelo plant where the aroma followed the number 5 bus down story av. No weekend morning was complete without a rich cup of coffee for kids and adults alike.
I'm still a coffee lover. Different styles and different brands. Stew's are my favorite beans known well to those in southern ct and some parts of ny. For a quick take out its Dunkin Donuts or McD's. Then no diner is worth while if they don't make a good cup of coffee.
Percolators make the best straight up American coffee. The old school two tier stove top espresso maker can’t be beat for an espresso, or even better, a cafe con leche or other variety with scalded milk.
For me there is no beverage more satisfying than a coffee. Its relaxing, envigorating, calms hunger and appetite and its just so good. So... name YOUR poison. What's your coffee beverage of choice?

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
My momma drank coffee, so it's great. Drinking coffee makes me think of her. Sometimes momma even flavored her coffee with a little Jack. I love regular coffee but like it sweet, creamy and strong. My coffee always has splenda and creamer. Mom drank plain Maxwell house. I used to buy Gevalia coffee, especially like blends from Papaya New Guinea and other places that I don't remember the names. Don't really want my beans flavored but love, love, love toffee flavored creamer and sugarfree caramel creamer in my coffee. When I go to McD, I buy the decaf if it has set awhile. Don't drink the fresh pot. It's like colored ho****er. The best coffee I had recently was in Chicago at Burger King, I could not believe it. It was great, strong but not burnt and it was fresh. I quit Starbucks cus my coffee tasted burnt every time.
With I will succeed.

I think I have straight caffeine running thru my veins instead of blood based on how much I drink.
I've always been a Starbucks fan due to the strength of their coffee. I like my coffee strong, but it seems like I have a hard time getting it strong enough without that bitterness.
I have a regular coffeemaker at home, but rarely use it. Since it seems I waste so much (yeah I tend to make a full pot and only drink 1-2 cups out of it).
I tried a coffee press and it was strong enough, I could make less, but it tended to be bitter more often than not.
I go to Starbucks 3-5 days a week and get the frou frou stuff. Venti White Mocha made with soy milk with no whipped cream. And no matte the season, I want my coffee steaming hot-you can keep the cold stuff.
