I am two years out and had lost about 65 lbs. I have put back on about 10 lbs. I have been so focused on my 90 year old mom (who is a blessing to me) and a recovering stroke husband, that I have stopped taking a glance at ME (I am their sole caregiver). I am NOT doing my protein shakes or vitamins like I'm supposed to. I may remember to do so maybe once a week and I feel like HELL!!!  HELP, please, I'm so Stressed out and trying to get back on TRACK and can't seem to find the way. Any advice? Anyone in the Ft. Washington, MD area that will be willing to be an exercise buddy?

Why not start taking your vitamins and doing your protein shakes again.  That would be a good place to start and for exercise just get out and so some walking.

The best way to get back on track is to get back on track.

You have a lot on your plate. You'll need to take care of yourself before you can effectively take care of others. ( I know, easier said than done.) I wish you well and commend you for your efforts. Don't lose sight of your health.

Please get back on the vitamin  I'm having trouble with the protein shakes alway did but made a problem I'll be back on the job.
God Bless you and hope you can find the strenght to get back on track.

Thanks Kathleen T.  I am sorry for the loss of your love ones and I thank you for taking the time to encourage me.  I started back up today and so far so good. I will be taking it one day at a time and dealing only with what I CAN control.  God Bless and keep in touch.

Well Figlock....You certainly have a full plate!  God bless those who have the patience and compassion to care for others.  I know they appreciate you being there.  I hope that you will take a few minutes to nurse yourself back to better help.  Without you being well, you very well may not be able to care for others however.

Like Lee and the others have stated, just start with basics of walking and getting in the protein, and go from there.

I wish you well.

its never too late to get back on track! sometimes we are put in positions for a reason, you were getting yourself healthy and now you have these things you have to deal with, you were being prepared for the work ahead of you! dont give up, take your vits and protein shake while you chat with your mom or waiting in the drs office, take a walk with your hubby if he is able, i found out that just a little excerise like a walk or run on the treadmill helps a lot, when your strong and healthy, you will be better able to help your family and keep the weight off too, hey, i am not an expert, but i  know stress help me put on a lot of weight and kept me in a pattern i needed to get out of, good luck to you..

Thank you all for your words of encouragement, which I needed. I am happy to say that I took everyones advice to heart and STARTED refocusing on ME. Took my vitamins, my shakes and 20 minutes on the treadmill.  Not alot for some, but I STARTED on ME again and it FELT GOOD.Will have to set the alarm to get up by 4am, since school will be back in session and I'll be back to teaching on Monday. Lots of things to prepare for the day before getting to work.  I will be like the "Little Engine That Could"
